102. HE KILLED MY WIFE

Chapter one hundred and two

"He killed my wife." 

The next morning, Stefan knew what Athena would do if she was in his place, she would put him somewhere safe and go off like the vampire hunter she was and kill Enzo, as he drove up to the garage in his car, he got out "ain't a parking lot, kid." Dean told him "yeah? Well, I'm not here to work. Need a few days off." Stefan shared "and it looks like I need a new mechanic." Dean shared, going back underneath the car.

And as he did, Stefan heard Athena's voice in his head "we should kill him." she said, and now he was seriously thinking about it as he grabbed the man by the leg and pulled him out from under the car "I said I need a few days off." he shared "are you slow? Let me simplify. Stay..keep the job. Leave..lose it." Dean shared, Stefan then heard Athena's voice in his head again "hurt him." she said, as Stefan grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him off the ground and held him by the neck as he lifted him into the air "how the hell are you so strong?" Dean asked.

"You hired a vampire. Next time, do a background check. Now shut up and don't move." Stefan compelled him, as he put him back on the ground "you have no idea how long I've wanted to do that. See, I was trying to get a fresh start with my wife, live a normal wife, normal job, normal dick of a boss. That's you by the way. This place was supposed to be our sanctuary, and it was until yesterday." Stefan shared, grabbing by the shirt again "come with me." he told him, dragging him over to the car.

Where in the backseat, Athena was lying there dead "that's my wife Athena. Somebody killed her last night in front of me, so I need to go back home..last place on this planet I want to be even more so without her..and do what she would do and find the man and kill him." Stefan shared, turning to his boss "like I said, I need a few days off." he added on "you should take a few days off." Dean told him "thanks, buddy. I will. Now I need you to look after her while I'm gone. And when I get back, I'll take her off your hands and you'll be giving me a raise." Stefan shared, giving him the keys to the car, he patted him on the shoulder and turned around walking off.

Having made it to Whitmore college, Stefan was walking through the halls where he had been trying to get in contact with Caroline to find Enzo but she wasn't answering his calls so running into Elena was the second option "Stefan?" Elena asked, walking toward's him "hey." she told him "hi." Stefan told her, as the two hugged "where..for the record, four months is far too long for me to go without seeing you." Elena shared "I know. That's why I'm here. I wanted to stop by and say hi." Stefan lied, Athena was dead barely even a day and he already threatened his boss and now lied to Elena, where all he wanted to do was kill Enzo.

As he soon was sitting in Alaric's classroom at the college with Elena "so this hospital thing, it's. a whole new look, huh?" Stefan asked "yeah. Apparently this color disguises all bodily fluids that I could get covered in throughout the day. So far, it's been mostly observation. But..I don't know..I love it there. Seeing sick people getting better, it's inspiring." Elena shared "you seem different. You seem, um, happier." Stefan told her "and you? You must be happy? The married life. Caroline filled me in a little bit." Elena shared "oh. About the, um, dinner party from hell." Stefan shared, and when he did, he remembered how Athena was yelling at her sister.

"Well, she said used this tone with Athena that made her lash out at her where Enzo then stabbed you in the hand. Yet instead of fighting him for you she said Athena ran off and got sick where she was holding her hair back while she threw up and when she asked her what was wrong Athena didn't answer her. Is she..is she okay?" Elena asked him, and when she did, Stefan remembered how Enzo snapped her neck "it's okay if you don't wanna answer. I'm just happy to finally see you again, you know? It's been really rough losing Bonnie the last couple of months.." Elena shared.
