Chapter eleven

"Keep it strictly professional."

The next morning, the sun was trying to shine through the curtains in the bedroom, as Athena lied in her bed sleeping, she didn't wake up to Damon looming over her, as he grabbed her and sped out of there, the next thing she knows her bodies being dropped on the hard wood floor, which is what woke Stefan and Elena up, seeing as she was now at the foot of his bed "rise and shine, sleepy heads." Damon said "Damon, please!" Elena voiced "what are you doing?" Stefan asked him, as Athena groaned "why am I here?" she asked.

"If I see something I haven't seen before I'll throw a dollar at it. Now listen, we have some very important business to discuss." Damon shared "and it has to be right now? You took Athena from her bed?" Elena asked "well, we have lots to do now that we're all friends and working toward a common goal. So in order to open the tomb, we need to find the journal to get the grimoire to undo the spell. So first things first, since you are Elena Gilbert your on journal duty." Damon shared "since when am I helping?" Elena asked.

"Well, Stefan's helping and you've taken up residency in Stefan's bed, ergo." Damon shared "you don't have to do anything you don't wanna do." Stefan told her "I'll look for it today." Elena shared, as she went back to sleep "good." Damon told her "how do we know that this journal will hold the location of the grimoire? We're really gonna take the word of this vampire? He seemed like a bit of a dimwit." Stefan shared "in lieu of any other options." Damon shared, looking down at Athena who had fallen back to sleep.

"What exactly is a grimoire anyway?" Elena asked "it's a witch's cookbook." Damon told her "every spell that a witch casts is unique on to itself. So every witch would document their work." Stefan shared "yeah. Cookbook." Damon told them "what about our mystery vampire? Dimwit obviously wasn't working alone. So whoever's out there knows who we are, knows what Athena is." Stefan shared "and I don't like that disadvantage, which is why she's here so she could be on the look out for her, so wake up." Damon shared, clapping his hands close to Athena's head, as she jumped up, hitting her head on Stefan's bed frame.

As Damon chuckled and began walking out "you know, I really like this whole menage foursome team thing. It's got a bit of a kink to it. Don't screw it up!" he voiced, walking out "he does have.." Elena was saying, as Stefan shushed her "alright, yeah." Elena said, as Stefan sat up "Athena?" he asked her, but Athena didn't answer him, which wasn't new, seeing as even when the two buried the dim whit, any conversation they had seemed to be one sided, being his, unless Damon or Elena was around, as Athena wrapped her blanket around her and stood up walking out of the room.

Having gone home, Athena recalled how strange it was that their new history teacher was around when she killed Logan Fell and the fact he hasn't freaked out and come forward to anyone about it was strange, so she had gotten dressed and grabbed her bow an arrow and headed to school, walking through the hallway, Athena had her bow at the ready, as she felt a chill go down her back, she turned around and when she did, Stefan was there as he had his hand up, bringing down her bow an arrow before she could shoot him with it "what are you doing here?" he asked her.

And when he did, Athena didn't answer him or ask him what he was doing here as she turned around continuing to walk down the hallway, Stefan followed her "how long do we continue not talking?" he asked her, as Athena let out a breath "well I figured it's best if we keep us strictly professional." she shared "professional?" Stefan asked her "like right now, where I'm assuming your here for the history teacher who has some strange affiliation with vampires seeing as he was there standing off against Logan the night that I killed him and didn't bat an eye when I did." Athena shared, as Stefan furrowed his brows, one because of the information she shared, but two because he didn't want to be strictly professional with her, he wanted her friendship.
