114. YOU WERE NEVER MY SISTER

Chapter one hundred and fourteen

"You were never my sister."

Athena was on the phone with Stefan as she was feeding Annabeth her bottle "Elena said the dorm room was completely empty?" she asked "same with the house. Caroline took everything but the damn doors on the hinges." Stefan shared, as Athena took a deep breath "this is what I was afraid of Stefan. She flipped her switch. If she hasn't come for me or you yet that means she doesn't have a reason to but if someone gives her a reason to..." she shared "and I told you whatever happens. She can't come between us." Stefan shared.

"But death can. And if she has no humanity then I doubt she will care if she kills any of the three of us." Athena shared "now your making me scared to leave you alone. I'll come get you and we'll go look for her together." Stefan shared "Stefan.." Athena told him "I'll be there soon. I love you." Stefan told her, hanging up.

Stefan had come pick her up and as he did, Athena was sitting in the car outside of the hospital as she looked through the rearview mirror at Annabeth, making sure to check all of her surroundings, her phone rang, as she pulled it out of her pocket and answered it "hello?" she asked "seeing as you saved my life. I'd figured I'd inform you that your sister is planning a trap for you. At the warehouse party tonight.." Enzo shared "what?" Athena asked, looking behind her at Athena, she climbed over the middle console and into the drivers seat, she turned the keys of the ignition.

"Thank you for the heads up." she told him, hanging up, she put the car in drive, and as she did, the passenger door opened as she turned looking at Stefan with wide eyes "you were gonna leave me?" Stefan asked her, Athena shook her head "I didn't want to. I just..I spent the entire day yesterday being the brave girl my mom would want me to be. But Enzo just called me and informed me that Caroline's party she's throwing is a trap for me and I..I can't go there Stefan." she shared, as Stefan put his hands on the side of her face "hey, hey, she is your sister. Even without humanity she's not gonna hurt you. Your the one who can talk to her and remind her of what it's like to feel." he shared.

As Athena raised her brows "and if it goes wrong?" she asked him, as Stefan leaned down kissing her "I'll be right there the whole time." he shared, and as he did, Athena brought her hands up and kissed him back.

Going to the rave, Athena and Stefan walked in and as they did, Athena spotted her sister at the bar as she walked up to her, having grabbed shots, she put them down in front of her, Athena took her's and downed it and as she did, Caroline did the same, where the two had then taken three more, as a girl walked by in a pink tutu and a white fluffy jacket with a hood "well, that's certainly a look." Caroline shared "oh! Don't say it like you wouldn't have actually worn that!" Athena voiced, as her and Caroline laughed "you know, I didn't expect you to come. Not only because your a mother but because your a slayer. I mean aren't you here to try and stop me?" Caroline asked her.

As Athena furrowed her brows "why would I be here to stop you?" she asked her "because you were never my sister. And that's why you got to go on the adventure where Elena's parents messed with your brain and made you a trained killer." Caroline shared, and when he did, Athena looked at her in shock, having not expected that, as she turned walking off, pushing through the crowd, she didn't even look for Stefan, as she headed outside, walking over to the car, she walked up to the backseat, leaning in, she grabbed Annabeth, holding her close to her chest, she didn't notice Caroline come up behind her and snap her neck, where Athena fell to the ground still holding Annabeth in her arms.

Caroline sitting in the bar had Athena's phone as she called Stefan "hey, where are you?" he asked "I think she ran off after I reminded her that she was programmed to be a trained killer." Caroline shared "what are you doing with Athena's phone?" Stefan asked "I stole it off her body after I snapped her neck. All those instincts and the only thing she cared about was making sure your baby was safe. But those aren't the questions you should be asking right now. You should be asking why does Enzo have Sarah Salvatore's number in his phone. Or maybe where is your wife, your daughter or your niece. And ultimately, what the hell are you going to do with them, Caroline?" Caroline asked him.

As the door to the bar opened "hello? Athena Salvatore?" Sarah asked "over here." Caroline told her "you look nothing like the pictures Enzo's showed me." Sarah shared "yeah that's because she's my baby sister. Or was seeing we have two different dad's." Caroline shared "Caroline, what the hell are you doing with them?" Stefan asked "there an appropriate question. Thank you for asking. As a matter of fact, I'm going to kill them." Caroline shared, hanging up, as she turned and looked at Sarah.

Coming to Athena groaned, as she looked down seeing she was chained to one of the pipes, she looked across from her, she saw Liam standing over who Athena knew was Stefan's niece Sarah and next to her was Annabeth "say hi!" Caroline voiced, and as Athena look to it she saw the phone "hello?" Liam asked "Sarah and the baby are helping Liam with his surgical skills." Caroline shared, as Athena's eyes went wide "please! Please don't hurt me!" Sarah voiced "Sarah!" Athena voiced "Athena?" she asked her "yes!" Athena voiced, pulling on the chains, she groaned in pain.

"I don't wanna do this!" Liam voiced "duh. You're probably gonna get expelled and then found guilty of murder. That's why I compelled you to do what I wanted." Caroline shared "No, please! Please!" Sarah begged Liam, Athena put her feet on the wall and continued pulling on the chains, digging into her wrists "ah!" she voiced "hey Liam." Caroline said "no! Please! No, no!" Sarah begged "cut our her spleen." Caroline said "no!" Sarah screamed, as Athena watched Liam grab scalpel "Liam, don't do this!" she voiced "I'm so sorry." Liam said, as Sarah screamed, Athena stood up, pulling the on the chains again to break free.

"Please don't hurt me! Aah!" Sarah voiced "Liam, please stop!" Athena voiced "how's it's going, Liam?" Caroline asked "no, no!" Sarah screamed "Sarah look at me!" Athena voiced, as Sarah turned looking at her "I think I'm gonna go into pediatrics." Liam shared, and when he did, Athena looked to Annabeth "you did not just say that! I swear to god! If you touch her!" she yelled "you know what? I changed my mind. Leave the spleen." Caroline said, as Liam let out a breath "let's be a little more symbolic." Caroline said "Caroline, I swear to god!" Athena voiced.

"Cut out the babies heart." Caroline said, and when she did, Athena felt nothing but fear course through her, as she screamed.

And as she did, on the other end, Stefan sped toward's Caroline, grabbing her by the arm, he flipped her over the counter and onto the nearest table, he then saw the phone on the floor as he ran toward's it, Caroline grabbed one of the pieces of wood and tripped him with it, as he fell over, Caroline then staked him in the back.

Where Athena was, she felt that pain shoot through her, where as Liam was standing over Annabeth, she wripped the chains off of her wrist and ran toward's him, jumping, she slammed him into the wall, shoving her hand into his chest, she ripped his heart out as she stepped back, his body fell to the ground "Liam you still with me?" Caroline asked, as Athena turned looking at the phone "Liam?" Caroline asked, as Athena walked toward's it, not saying anything, she picked it up and threw it at the wall, as she turned around, she bit into her wrist and fed Sarah her blood.

And as she began to heal, Athena unstrapped her from the table and stepped around her, grabbing Annabeth off the table, Sarah pushed herself off of her's, as Athena put her arm around her and began walking them out of there.

And unknowing to Caroline, the moment Athena screamed at the thought of losing their child, he turned off his humanity, knowing in that moment she herself already would've been gone, where unlike before where turning off their humanity or bloodlust was a feeling of falling, this time it was a full on jump, and they both knew fully well who their enemy was.
