Chapter one hundred and twenty five

"Something you never wanted to remember."

The next morning, Athena and Stefan were sleeping on the ground in the woods, and as they did footsteps could be heard, as Damon walked up to them carrying a bag of clothes "good morning, love birds." he told them, as Athena and Stefan quickly sat up where Stefan put his body in front of Athena so Damon couldn't see anything "tracked your phones and thought you two might need some clothes." Damon shared, tossing the bag to them, Stefan grabbed it and pulled Athena's stuff out first handing it to her.

Athena began to get dressed "is there any particular reason as to why you tracked us down in the woods at the crack of mid morning?" Stefan asked, putting his shirt on while Athena stood up, buttoning her pants as she had her black long sleeve shirt on, Stefan began to put his pants on "why such a grumpy gus? I thought you'd want to celebrate today. I finally got Elena tucked away safely. You're out here living some romance movie sex trip. And Ric saved his lady from the great beyond. Everything is coming up Salvatore, so much so that I have decided to turn over a new leaf." Damon shared "that's never good." Athena said, as she put her boots on.

"Oh, come on! I am gonna be the man that does right by Elena all on my own by eeping her in my heart instead of keeping her under foot." Damon shared "that's interesting." Stefan told him, as he shoved their clothes from last night into the bag, Athena's phone rang as she furrowed her brows, looking down, she found it and picked it up, answering it "hello?" she asked "where are you right now?" Valerie asked, as Athena furrowed her brows "not in mystic falls why?" she asked her "because me and you are going to find someone." Valerie shared, as the phone then beeped.

"Valerie?" Athena asked, bringing the phone down realizing she hung up, she began walking off "whoa, whoa, where you going?" Damon asked her "to find a girl who barely knows what twenty first century technology is." Athena shared, continuing to walk away, Stefan got up following after her "why does Valerie wanna find someone with you?" he asked "my guess is as good as yours." Athena shared, continuing to walk, Stefan followed her, Damon smirked "well seeing as that's why I was here, I'll gladly help you find her." he shared, and as he did, Stefan and Athena stopped and turned looking at him.

Where seeing as she took Matt's car, Damon was able to track her, where he had parked his car a few feet away from where she almost was, as he stood in the road, Athena and Stefan were off to the side, watching them "no seat belt? That's a hefty fine, young lady." Damon shared "how did you.." Valerie asked "little bird brain said you stole his car and sped out of mystic falls." Damon shared, as Valerie got out of the car "you did realize that by taking a deputy's SUV that every move you made would be tracked, right?" Damon asked her.

"Would you kindly move your car?" Valerie asked, as Damon turned to his car "that car?" You bet I'll move that car," he told her as he turned back to her "but first, I need to ask you why you killed your faux brother Oscar and framed me for the murder." he told her "I have no idea what your talking about." Valerie told him "you're right. I might not be a hundred percent on my detective work. It's possible that another heretic turned him into a desiccated corpse. I'm not sure. So I'm gonna go to my car, get my phone. I'm gonna call Lily, see if she knows." Damon shared, turning and walking to his car.

Valerie brought her hand up "fine. You're a genius. What on Earth made you think I wouldn't do the same to you?" she asked, as Damon held his hand up while the other was on his throat that was closing up "hey, we're just talking here." he told her, as Athena ran up behind her "Valerie." she said, as Valerie stopped and turned to her "Athena." she told her, as Stefan ran up behind her "quit torturing my brother and tell us exactly what's going on here." he shared, as Valerie looked from him to Athena.
