146. IF YOUR GONNA LEAVE ME FOREVER, WHY WAIT FOR TOMORROW

Chapter one hundred and forty six

"If your gonna leave me forever, why wait for tomorrow." 

Driving down the road, Athena's phone rang as she answered it "if your calling to tell me to come back..." she shared "I'm calling to let you know that Seline's the siren and that she has my kids." Alaric shared "and Sybil?" Athena asked "she's no longer in the armory which means.." Alaric shared "which means they're together." Athena shared, letting out a breath "we'll find them, Ric." she told him "I'll keep you posted on where they could be." Alaric shared, hanging up, Athena kept driving, as she looked to the back, Annabeth and Jace were asleep, as she turned back to the road and continued speeding off.

Where by the morning, Athena had stopped at a drive thru getting them food and as she did, she got a text from Alaric letting her know they were in Oakwood, which was a few hours from where they were and as she was driving into Oakwood her phone began going off with an amber alert for Seline having kidnapped Josie and Lizzie, and as she looked down at it and then back up, she was driving past a diner and saw Seline and Sybil carrying Josie and Lizzie as Damon followed behind them.

Athena quickly turned into the diner not enough to make it obvious that she was following them, as she put the car in park, she pulled out her phone and took pictures of them followed by the license plate number and sent it to Alaric and Matt , where when she looked up, she watched them pull out of the parking lot and drive off, and as they did, Athena put the car back in drive and began following after them.

Although as Athena was driving, visions flashed through her mind

Where she saw an officer stopping Seline's car and when he looked in the back their was nothing but then Lizzie started to siphon Sybil, where when the cop came back, Sybil jumped him and began eating him, she then saw a sign for a motel

"Mom?" Annabeth asked her, as Athena took a deep breath, she had still been driving, where she drove past the scene that she just saw where that cop was on the side of the road, she pressed her foot down on the pedal and sped past it, and continued on to find that motel.

When they arrived at the motel it was dark out, as Athena, Annabeth and Jace got out, the three walked into the building and as they did, all of the lights were flickering, as the three of them pulled out their swords, they glowed in the dark and as they did, three people came up behind them and as they did, the three spun around and as they did footsteps could be heard behind them as Athena turned around seeing two more with weapons "ready?" she asked "ready." Annabeth and Jace told her.

And as they did, Athena ran down the hallway, and as the one on the right swung at her, Athena slid on the floor, cutting him in the leg with her sword, he fell over, as Athena stood up shoving her sword into the on the lefts chest as she pulled it out and spun around, kicking the one on his knees down to the ground, meanwhile Annabeth and Jace were taking on the two in front of them as they were blocking their swords with their makeshift weapons, the two brought their legs up and kicked the two in the chest, sending them tumbling into the one behind them.

He quickly got out of the way, causing the two of them to fall on the ground, where Annabeth and Jace then walked up to them and stabbed them in the chest with their swords, where the third one came running at them and as he did, Annabeth and Jace ducked down as the man lunged at them but went flying into the window nearby, the two looked down the hallway and as they did, Athena was being held in the air by her throat by one of the big guys as three bodies lied on the floor next to her, she swung her feet up and kicked him into the wall behind him.

As she fell to the ground, she was coughing, as the man stepped toward's her, he went to punch her, as Athena brought her hand up catching it, she began crushing his fist, as she then shoved her hand in his chest and ripped his heart out, his body fell to the ground as Athena dropped the heart, she bent down and picked up her sword as she looked at Annabeth and Jace.

The three then ran down the hallway, pushing open the doors to the pool, they around seeing Sybil and Seline but most importantly Josie and Lizzie, as a man stood in front of them "Josie! Lizzie!" Athena called out, as Josie and Lizzie turned around, they ran toward's them, as Athena put her arms around Lizzie, Jace and Annabeth hugged Josie.

Sybil, Seline and the man looked at them, where Athena moved Lizzie over to Annabeth, Annabeth pulled her toward's them, as Athena stepped forward "you don't wanna do that." Sybil told her, as Athena held her sword up against her neck "you wanna bet?" she asked her, and as she did, Stefan sped up behind her and pulled her back "I'll do it. Just let them go." he shared, looking at the man, the man smiled at him.

Having told Alaric and Caroline the address, the two came running in, as Athena, Jace and Annabeth walked down down the hallway with Josie and Lizzie where when they saw their parents, they went running toward's them "mommy! Daddy!" they voiced, as Alaric picked Lizzie up in his arms, Caroline did the same to Josie, and as they did, Athena looked down at Annabeth, running her hand through her hair, having known that feeling all too well.

The three of them headed home, and Athena decided after everything to get them pizza, where as Annabeth and Jace were eating it in the kitchen, Athena stood in the backyard with her arms around her, Stefan walked up to her and stood next to her, neither of them saying anything yet, Stefan took a deep breath "I gave Damon what he promised me...an eternity of misery." he told her, and when he did, Athena turned and looked at him, and when she did, Stefan turned and looked at her "I surrendered my immortal soul to Cade. I have to serve him the way the sirens did. Deliver the darkest souls to hell so I don't end up there myself." he shared.

"You told me you loved me. You..you married me." Athena told him "I know. I know. And I do. Athena, I do." Stefan told her, putting his hands on her face "you don't. Because if you did you would've never accepted this..this deal. I can't..I can't go through that again, Stefan." Athena shared, crying, as Stefan began wiping away her tears, kissing her on the forehead "tomorrow's my last day." he told her "I can't..I can't." Athena told him "shh." Stefan told her, kissing her on the forehead again.

Athena pulled away from him "well if your gonna leave me forever then why wait for tomorrow, huh?" she asked, pulling her ring off her finger, she threw it at him "just do it right now!" she voiced, as Stefan bent down and picked up the ring "huh?" Athena asked, walking up and shoving him, Stefan stumbled back "come on! Do it! Do it!" she voiced, shoving him, but when she did, she then slapped him across the face, she then continued punching him in the chest, as Stefan then put his arms around her, pulling her close to him.

"No! Stop it!" Athena voiced, shoving him away from her, her hair was in her face "it's over! Okay? It's over!" she voiced, as Stefan stepped toward's her "don't touch me! I hate you! I hate you! So just go!" Athena voiced, turning around and walking away from him, leaving Stefan standing there.
