117. GETTING EVEN

Chapter one hundred and seventeen

"Getting even."

Having made it to a bed and breakfast in Grovehill, Athena had gotten her room, as she brought her bag and her sister into the room, she threw Caroline down on the bed and as she did, she put the bag down and turned around, walking to the bedroom door, she closed it and locked it, as she walked back over to the bag, opening it up, she dug through it and found the knife, walking over to Caroline, she cut open her wrists and began bleeding her out, as she climbed onto the bed, she began pulling out the bullets and as she did, that's when she entered her head, knowing with the blood loss, she wouldn't be waking up to fight her anytime soon.

Caroline had woke up and as she did, the room she was in was dark as she sat up, she saw that she was on a bed, as she went get off of it, she got pulled back as she looked to her left and right her hands were chained to the bed "Stefan?" she asked, and as she did, the sound of footsteps filled her ears, as a six year old Athena walked out of the shadows, wearing a beanie over her head and a leather jacket and aiming a crossbow at her "Athena?" Caroline asked her, as Athena pulled the trigger and shot her in the chest with it "ah!" Caroline cried out in pain, Athena bent down and notched another arrow "no, no!" Caroline voiced, as Athena pulled the trigger, shooting her in the shoulder.

Caroline cried out in pain "stop it!" she voiced, pulling on the chains "stop what?" Athena asked, notching an arrow "being the freak you are!" Caroline voiced, as Athena held up the crossbow, shooting her in the left shoulder "ah!" Caroline voiced "you remember that time when Tyler and Matt decided to hang me upside in a well? Elena asked what they were doing and you said, being boys, while Bonnie was the only one who asked, where's Athena, and I said.." Athena shared, notching another arrow "I'm upside down! Yes I remember! Because like I said that's your thing! Because your weird! Always have been with your circus tricks and.." Caroline was telling her, as Athena shot her in the head with an arrow, making her stop talking.

Sometime had passed, and Athena wanted Caroline to wake up as she sat on top of her, she ripped the arrow out of her head first "god!" Caroline screamed, as Athena tossed it to the floor, she then turned back "what are you doing?" Caroline asked her, as Athena pulled the two arrows out of her shoulders, Caroline cried out in pain "would you answer me you freak!" she voiced, trying to kick her legs up but she couldn't move them "right. When you were unconscious I handcuffed your legs to the bottom of the bed.." Athena shared, pulling the arrow out of her chest, Caroline cried out in pain.

Athena then climbed off of her and as she did, she walked over to the corner of the room, bending down she picked something up "what are you doing?" Caroline asked her, as Athena turned around, carrying over a bucket, Caroline's eyes went wide "what is that?" she asked her, as Athena dumped it on her, Caroline cried out in pain as her skin sizzled "vervain! Are you insane!" she voiced "no, but I am a trained killer." Athena shared, throwing the bucket down "my mama taught me very well." she added on, walking away from her "Athena? Athena, get back here!" Caroline voiced, pulling her hands on the chains, she winced.

Some more time passed, and as Caroline lied there, she saw Athena sitting in the corner by a lamp flipping through something "what are you looking at?" Caroline asked her "playing a guessing game on if my future husband was the one to kill a stadium security guard and stuffed him in a laundry cart?" Athena asked "that would've been me." Caroline shared, and as she did, Athena laughed "I have no idea how mom would've covered that up." she shared, tossing the file to the ground, and looking at the next one.
