062. FINDING ANOTHER HUNTER

Chapter sixty two

"Finding another hunter."

"Jermey!" Elena had yelled, as Jermey had gotten out of bed and headed downstairs, he found Elena in the kitchen, where as he walked up to her, she was turned away from him "Elena, what's going on?" Jermey asked her, as Elena turned to him and stabbed him in the neck, Elena then pulled the knife out as Jermey began choking on his own blood, he fell down as Elena dropped the knife, crouching down to him "Jer, Jer, no, no, no!" she voiced, looking down and seeing the ring on his finger.

"Jermey!" Athena yelled, sitting up in bed, she was breathing heavy, having not had dreams like that in a while, Stefan woke up from her screams and sat up, turning to her "Athena, what happened?" he asked her, putting his arm around, Athena looked him "Elena killed Jermey." she shared, as Stefan shook his head "no, no, Elena wouldn't kill Jermey. Your just having a bad dream." he shared "no, no, it..it was like when I would see Damon kill people, I..I saw her stab him in the neck and he thankfully was wearing his ring, but..but she killed him, she didn't hesitate." Athena shared, as Stefan wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his chest.

Where by the next morning, Elena hadn't called or said anything about it so Stefan was starting to think that it wasn't the same as Damon or even when she saw him die but then he got a call from Damon, which was why the two had ended up, at Elena's house, as Athena ran up the walkway and onto the porch, she swung open the door "whoa, there.." Damon told her, as Athena ignored him, she crouched down to the couch looking at Jermey, she ran her hand through his hair, as Stefan then walked in "PS I called Stefan." Damon told Elena "hey. Athena..Athena saw what happened." Stefan shared, as he walked up to them "why didn't you call me?" he asked.

"I just, I need to go upstairs and shower. Clean all the blood off my hands." Elena shared, as she looked down at Athena, she turned and walked away, and as she did, Jermey gasped, sitting up, Athena's eyes went wide "shh. Shh. Hey. Hey." she told him, putting her hands on his face, Jermey looked at her "Athena." he told her "yeah..come on, let's..let's get the blood cleaned off you and a change of clothes and get out of here, alright." Athena shared, taking her hands off his face, she stood up, and as she did, Stefan looked at her "Athena.." he told her "not right now, Stefan." Athena told him, taking Jermey's hand, she helped him up, as the two walked off.

Having left the house, Athena had taken Jermey to the school seeing as their was an occult exhibit happening that needed volunteer's as they stood in front of a couple of boxes, Athena noticed Jermey staring at his hand "what is up with.." Athena went to ask him as she looked at it "you.." she said, seeing the mark, she grabbed his hand "Jermey when did you get this?" she asked him "it showed up after he died." Jermey told her, as Matt walked up to them "what are you two talking about?" he asked "he has the hunters mark." Athena told him, as Matt's eyes went wide "are you serious?" he asked.

"He told me that I was a potential that that's why I could see his mark." Jermey shared "so, what does that make you? Like the next chosen one or something?" Matt asked "I think.." Athena was telling them as they got interrupted "hey, guys." April told them as the three looked to her "hey, April." Matt told her "who let her do all the heavy lifting? I found her wandering the hallways with this." the man next to her shared, holding a rock, all three of them furrowed their brows "I'm just teasing. I'm the guy who wrangles all the freaky stuff." he shared, holding his hand out, Jermey shook hands with him "Atticus Shane." he shared, shaking hands with Athena then Matt "please call me Shane, I beg you." he told them.

Looking to April "thank yoy, guys, for helping I really appreciate it." he shared, looking back at Matt, Athena and Jermey "you all get free admission to my free exhibit." he told them, chuckling as he walked off, April furrowed her brows "why does he look so familiar?" she asked "no idea." Jermey told her, as he looked to Athena "hey, um, have you guys seen Rebekah? She said she was gonna help me look into what caused the explosion at my dad's farm and then she just.." April shared "disappeared. Yeah, I know." Matt told her, as he turned around grabbing a box, Athena raised her brows at April "we've gotta go!" she voiced, linking her arm with Jermey as she dragged the two of them off.

Later on the exhibit was all put together, as Athena stood next to Jermey, Matt and April stood to the right of them as they listened to Shane "you're looking at what people believed to be the worlds first tombstone." he shared, about the giant rock that he had been carrying earlier when they met him "this item was donated to Whitmore college last month." he shared "oh, I just remembered how I know him. Through my dad." Athena heard April say "that guy knew your dad?" Matt asked "yeah. He taught a theology seminar at Whitmore last year." April then told him, as Athena furrowed her brows, seeing as this council explosion between Connor knowing him and then Shane began to get more and more strange.

"Belonged to a very powerful witch. A witch so powerful in fact that Silas, that was his name created a spell that would grant him..immortality." Shane shared, as he looked to the screens behind them, he clicked a button as the screens changed "now legend says that Silas did the spell with the help of a lady witch who loved him a woman named Qetsiyah. Sadly for Qetsiyah, Silas wanted to give immortality to another women. So Qetsiyah killed her and buried Silas alive, leaving him powerless, immortal and alone." he shared, looking back at them all, and something about the name Silas felt familiar to Athena but she couldn't understand why.

"Now it's said that Silas wants to rise again, regain his power, wreak havoc on the world. Maybe we should be afraid." Shane then shared, as Matt turned and looked at Jermey and Athena "or maybe it's all a bunch of crap and this is just an old rock." Shane shared, making people laugh but not Matt, Jermey and Athena "alright, listen, enjoy exploring the exhibit. I'll be around to answer any questions. Thank you for coming." Shane shared "um, I have a question.." Athena told him, as she held her hand up, Matt's eyes went wide "Athena.." he told her, and when he did, Shane raised his brows as he walked toward's her "Athena? As in the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy?" he asked her.

"Yeah." Athena told him, as Jermey chuckled "well, what do you think about all of this?" Shane asked her, motioning to the rock "I think you making it into a joke in the end was a way to separate the true believers vs those who don't find any of this to be true." Athena shared "and which side do you sway too?" Shane asked her, crossing his arms "I believe it. I'm not sure why though." Athena shared "well, with a name like that it's hard to not believe in things that others don't. If you have any more questions, please come and find me." Shane shared, as he turned walking off.

Jermey raised his brows "you just had to ask?" he asked, smirking down at her, Athena turned around and began walking off and as she did, Jermey followed her "I overheard April telling Matt on why she recognizes him, which was through her dad and seeing as Connor knew her dad." Athena shared "you think this guy has something to do with the council fire?" Jermey asked her "well, a guy who believes in an immortal named Silas coming back to life and wreaking havoc doesn't exactly seem to far off the beaten path of potential sacrificial murder." Athena shared, as Jermey nodded, putting his arm around her, the two began to walk around and look at the rest of the exhibit.

But soon Athena got a text from Damon, asking for her and Jermey to meet him in one of the rooms for the exhibit as the two came running in "is everything okay? Is it Elena?" Jermey asked "we figured out how to help her. Athena need's to kill a vampire." Bonnie shared "oh, great. Give her a stake and I'll hold Damon down while she kills him." Jermey shared "easy, Van Helsings. We'll get her one. Don't worry." Damon shared, as his phone started ringing "before you do this, you need to know what her doing that will get you into Jermey." Bonnie shared, as she handed him papers.

Athena ripped them out of his hands "Athena..." Bonnie told her "it's not a rule book, Bonnie. Being a hunter is something you learn not something you read in a book." Athena shared, throwing the papers behind her, realizing that this made Shane even stranger.

Having left the school, Athena and Jermey had met up with Stefan as the three were walking toward's the Lockwood's, where the three walked up the steps and to the front, the door was open and as it was, Stefan handed Athena the gun as she took it from him, she aimed it and shot the hybrid that was walking out the door "no!" a girl screamed, as the hybrid fell to his knees, Athena stepped inside along with Stefan and Jermey "Athena?" Tyler asked her, looking at her with furrowed brows, Athena threw the gun down "what the hell, man?" Tyler asked "hold him back. He's not gonna like this part." Athena shared.

As Klaus smirked at her, he sped behind Tyler and wrapped his arms around him "I'm sorry." Stefan told him, as Athena stepped forward, she put her foot on the hybrids chest and put her hands on his head and ripped it off, as the girl screamed, Jermey looked down at his hand and noticed his mark starting to grow.
