138. THE DEATH OF A DAUGHTER BRINGS LIFE TO ANOTHER

Chapter one hundred and thirty eight

"The death of a daughter brings life to another."

The next morning, Athena was in the house sitting in front of the fire, Rayna's head was on her lap, as Annabeth leaned her head on her shoulder, she decided to stay back with her and Bonnie while Damon, Enzo and Stefan all went out to finish killing the rest of the vampires, where the front door opened as Bonnie walked in looking at the three of them, Athena threw the paper that had the named Desmond on it into the fire "Athena." Bonnie told her, as Athena looked to her "like I told Stefan, Damon and Enzo before they left I'm fine." she shared.

As Bonnie walked to the kitchen putting her bag down "which they just went along with because they know they have to kill those vampires to save my life, I can see that your hurting." she shared, walking into the living room "I mean your gonna let one your daughter's die for me? That doesn't make any sense." she shared "yeah, it hurts. But when you've died as many times people like us have. It's rare when you get things that matter, like love, family, happiness." Athena shared, as Rayna squeezed her hand "I've learned that it's nice to go in the arms of the people you love." Athena shared, as Annabeth grabbed another name out of the pile and threw it in the fire.

"I'm ready to be done on this Earth. I wanna see my father again. Like I got to see my mother one last time." Rayna shared, as Athena turned around and leaned down, kissing her on the top of the head "motis." Bonnie said, moving the flame that was on the papers, Annabeth, Athena and Rayna stood up "Bonnie, your magic's back." Athena shared "the pills are out of my system. Which means the armory's not far behind." Bonnie shared, as Annabeth, Athena and Rayna looked at her with wide eyes.

Where Athena had made the four of them lunch as she was putting the bowls of mac and cheese on the table, Annabeth and Rayna were sitting there, as Athena looked around them "where's Bonnie?" she asked them "I think she went to the bedroom." Rayna shared, as her and Annabeth began to eat their mac and cheese, Athena turned around walking to the bedroom "Bonnie?" she asked her, opening the door, and when she did, she didn't see Bonnie, she furrowed her brows, stepping inside "Bonnie?" she asked, as the door behind her shut.

She turned around looking at Bonnie with wide eyes "what are you doing?" she asked her "I'm not gonna let them use me to open that vault." Bonnie shared, holding a knife in her hand "Bonnie, no," Athena told her, holding her hands up, Bonnie ran toward's her, as she knocked Athena and her down on the bed, Athena rolled them over "you don't know what you're doing!" she voiced "yes I do!" Bonnie voiced, cutting into her wrist, Athena winced, as Bonnie flipped them over, she leaned down drinking the blood from Athena's wrist.

Sometime had passed, as Bonnie was laying on the couch, Rayna and Annabeth sat by the names in front of the fireplace, Athena was holding the knife in her hand that had her blood on it, her phone rang as she grabbed it "not a good time." she shared "is that why I got your voicemail four times? Cause we're literally at a crossroads here. We could use a couple bread crumbs." Damon shared "well I was dealing with Bonnie." Athena shared "is she all right?" Enzo asked "if you mean attacking me with a kitchen knife and forcefully drinking my blood to hide herself from locator spells. Yeah, she's fine." Athena shared.

"Put her on." Enzo told her, as Athena walked into the living room, handing Bonnie the phone "your boyfriend wants to talk to you." she told her, as Bonnie took the phone, Athena pointed the knife at Rayna and Annabeth "you two and me cellar now." she shared, as Annabeth and Rayna stood up, Athena walked out the front door, as Annabeth and Rayna followed after her, shutting the door behind them.

The sun was setting and as it did, Athena was sitting in the cellar with Annabeth and Rayna, the two learning their heads on her shoulder, and as the three closed their eyes, visions began to fill their minds of all the vampires from the list dying, as the three quickly stood up and ran out of the cellar and back into the house, the three fell on the floor grabbing the names "Athena, what's wrong?" Bonnie asked, as the visions kept coming, the three winced in pain "Athena, what's happening?" Bonnie asked "killing." Rayna said, as they threw more names in the fire, more visions came as the three groaned "they're killing them all." Athena shared, as the three tossed more names in, Bonnie and Enzo looked at them with wide eyes.

That night, they all had gone to the Salvatore boarding house, as Athena, Annabeth and Rayna were walking through the woods Damon was with them "well, I can't say I'm gonna miss you, Rayna, but you are doing a grande solid for Bonnie. I figure that deserves a thank you, even in my own twisted book." Damon shared "you're welcome." Rayna told him "all right. Bonfire, check. Last descendant of the tribe that created you..by the way, thank you for that..check. Bonnie's O neg, check." Damon shared, handing the vial over to the shaman.

"It is a great honor to meet you, Rayna. But an even greater honor to meet you, Athena." the shaman shared "yeah, yeah, yeah. Look, we're in a bit of a hurry here, okay? So if you can get on with the shamaning.." Damon shared, as the shaman poured Bonnie's blood onto the knife, he handed it to Athena "whoa, whoa, wait.." Damon said, as Rayna walked over to the other side of the fire with Athena, Annabeth followed them as the shaman sat down on the other side, Athena and Rayna looked each other in the eyes as Annabeth watched them "hear me, great spirit. Hear me. We call upon the slayer in this moment of need. We bring her daughter before you who is ready to die and bring her life to another. Another daughter." the shaman shared.

"Wait, what? What does that mean?" Damon asked, as Athena felt tears in her eyes "it's okay." Rayna told her, and when she did, Athena put her hand on her shoulder and as she did, she shoved the knife into her heart and when she did, Rayna gasped, and as she did, Athena felt light headed as both her and Annabeth passed out, Damon's eyes went wide "no, no, no!" he voiced, running over to them "Athena! Athena!" he voiced, shaking her but she wouldn't wake up, as he turned to Annabeth shaking her "hey!" he voiced, but she wouldn't wake up either.
