By now, Satomi had drifted off to sleep in (Y/n)'s arms, her small form resting peacefully on the girl's lap. Conversation had long since ceased, and as (Y/n) stole a glance at the time, her eyes widened in realization.
In a soft voice, the (h/c) haired girl spoke. "Akemi, can you go brush your teeth upstairs for me? It's past bedtime."
Akemi flashed (Y/n) a toothy grin. "Anything for you!" She obliged, standing up and walking through the archway, shooting pointed glares in Yuuto's direction as she went.
Yuuto returned the glare, prompting Asahi to suppress a chuckle. Meanwhile, (Y/n) carefully maneuvered Satomi into the crook of her elbow, cradling the sleeping child in a bridal hold as she rose to her feet. Casting a brief glance between the boys, she mouthed, "I'll be right back."
Asahi's eyes trailed behind the teen girls form as she made her exit carefully, a smirk plastered on his face. Yuuto, noticing his friend's gaze, scoffed at him.
"Quit looking at her like that," the blond grumbled, causing Asahi to direct his attention to his friend.
"Why not? Nothing wrong with a good ol' eye-fuck," he boasted, closing his eyes as if savoring the imagined sight. Asahi then ran his tongue along his sharp teeth, letting out a sigh. Yuuto, weary of his friend's crude language, rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"Just... keep it respectful," he muttered, rising from the floor and brushing off his clothes with his hand. Asahi simply hummed to himself, fishing out his AirPods from his pocket.
Yuuto, wanting to leave a good impression, started picking up the plates scattered around the living room, stacking them all up in his hands. Once they were stacked, he silently made his exit through the archway leading to the kitchen.
"Ah, shit," Asahi groaned, dropping one of his AirPods on the ground.
"So that's where Akemi learned the word 'fuck,'" a feminine voice mused.
Asahi flipped his head in her direction, an amused grin tugging at his lips.
"I would've taken great pride if she did. But nah, that little girl just has you wrapped around her finger," he remarked, sliding off the ground and searching through the rug that the coffee table was on.
"Whatcha looking for?" the (e/c) eyed girl asked, getting on her knees to see if she could help.
"Dropped my damn AirPod," he answered with a sigh, running his hands through the fabric as if that'll help.
(Y/n) took it upon herself to search the hardwood floor. An AirPod was white, after all, so it shouldn't be too difficult to spot, right?
Her eyes scanned the wooden surface, but there was no sign of the AirPod anywhere. Asahi then lifted up the rug, his expression tightening as he failed to locate it.
"You know what, it's fine. I'll just get another pair," he dismissed, starting to stand up.
"Seriously? We haven't even been looking for five minutes..." (Y/n) commented, looking around the floor around the couch. Asahi shrugged.
"Yeah, but I got bored of looking."
"You give up too easily," the (h/c) haired girl grumbled, lowering her head to the ground and looking under the couch. A smirk gradually spread across her face.
Reaching her arm under the couch, she grabbed the AirPod and brought it out. When her hand touched it, it blared to life with music loudly playing from it's small speaker.
"Is that Green Day?" the girl asked, handing the AirPod to Asahi. The boy wore a bewildered look when being shown the AirPod, the sound of drums and guitars playing loudly from the tiny speaker.
