A few hours had passed since the initial horror movie started, and the room had grown more crowded and lively. Asahi and Kai had joined the impromptu watch party, filling the space with their energy. Kai had complained a bit when he noticed that (Y/n) had disappeared from his room, but now he was perfectly content sitting next to her on Keiji's couch, sharing a blanket and occasionally making sarcastic comments about the film.
Asahi, on the other hand, had entered the room like he was being forced to do a chore. He plopped himself down on the floor in front of the couch, his back leaning against it. His teal eyes occasionally flicked to the screen, but he seemed more interested in observing the dynamics of the group.
Throughout the first movie, Keiji had complained non-stop about how cliche and cheesy it was. His critiques were loud and dramatic, earning groans and eye-rolls from the others. When Kai heard Keiji's complaints, he smirked and took it upon himself to choose the next movie. It was a classic horror flick, one that was known for its genuinely terrifying moments.
Now, here they were, halfway through the second movie, and Keiji was clinging desperately to (Y/n) for dear life. Despite his bravado earlier, the orange haired boy had been reduced to a trembling mess. (Y/n) found it difficult to focus on the movie at all, her mind occupied with the boys and Reina.
She was sandwiched between Kai and Keiji, the former calmly watching the screen with a small smirk, and the latter clutching her arm like a lifeline. The blanket she shared with Kai provided some warmth and comfort, but it wasn't enough to calm her racing mind. Her thoughts kept drifting back to Reina. When would they get an update? What had caused her reaction? Was she okay?
And then there was the issue of her phone. It had been damaged earlier, and she wasn't sure if it could be repaired. Her parents didn't even know she was out right now. The worry gnawed at her, making it hard to concentrate on the movie's plot.
She was brought out of her thoughts when Keiji yelped, covering his face and clinging tighter to her. (Y/n) sighed and brought her hand from under the blanket, patting his head comfortingly. She didn't want to be here right now- hell, she hardly even knew these boys- but she would stick it out for Reina. A few more minutes passed, and (Y/n) was growing antsy. Slowly, she pushed Keiji off her. The orange haired male immediately noticed and directed his gaze to her, his brows furrowing slightly in a pout.
(Y/n) sent him a half-assed smile and climbed out from under the blanket, standing up from the couch. She noticed all eyes were on her now.
"Where are you going?" Keiji asked, disappointment in his tone.
"Um... just to get some water, if that's okay," (Y/n) responded.
Keiji brightened up, his focus entirely gone from the movie behind him. He then offered to show her where the kitchen was, to which Kai butted in and said, "I should show her the kitchen since you stole her from me earlier."
Keiji shot a glare towards Kai. "The kitchen is my specialty, so it's only right."
The room fell into a brief silence, the tension between the two boys heavy. (Y/n) shifted uncomfortably, glancing between them. She could see Asahi rolling his eyes from his spot on the floor, clearly amused by the situation.
(Y/n) chewed on her lip. "You both ca-"
"I'm going to get a snack," Asahi interrupted, "You can come if you want." He stood up from the floor, his hands stuffed in his pockets.
Sensing the opportunity to escape whatever tension was brewing, (Y/n) nodded. "I appreciate it," she said. Turning to the two boys on the couch, she added, "I'll be back."
Asahi, however, didn't wait for her and had already walked out of the room. (Y/n) stole a glance towards Riku, the brunette still sitting on the bed and watching her. She sent a smile his way before exiting the room herself, hoping to catch up to the gray haired male so as not to get lost in the giant building.
