As (Y/n) and Aiko walked to school, the morning air felt chillier, hinting at the approaching winter. The streets were quieter than usual, and their footsteps echoed softly against the pavement. (Y/n) recounted the events of her weekend, her breath forming little clouds in the cold air. Aiko's expression remained stoic, her dark hair framing a face that showed little emotion.

(Y/n) finished her story, and Aiko's blue gaze shifted to her friend, a look of incredulity in her eyes. "Really?"

(Y/n) shrugged, a small smile playing on her lips. "I know, right? It was... something."

Aiko sighed, her breath visible in the chilly air. "It sounds like you've garnered a lot of attention with these boys."

(Y/n) laughed, the sound light and carefree despite the weight of the weekend's events. "I don't really have the time or energy for that type of stuff," she said, shaking her head.

Aiko's expression remained still, her mind wandering back to her friend's weekend. The dynamics of Reina living with so many boys seemed almost unfathomable to her. "I can't comprehend how Reina can live with so many boys and still have her sanity," she mused aloud.

The two girls continued their walk, the school building coming into view. The sun was just beginning to rise higher in the sky, casting a soft, golden light on the surroundings. They walked in comfortable silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts.

Finally, Aiko broke the silence. "So, what are you going to do about the boys?"

(Y/n) sighed, her breath visible in the cold morning air. "I don't know. For now, I'm just going to focus on school and Reina. Everything else can wait."

Aiko shrugged, her expression softening slightly. "All I ask is for some more girl time than what you've been giving," she said, her tone light but with an underlying hint of longing.

(Y/n) stole a glance at her childhood friend, a small frown creasing her face. She hadn't realized how much time she'd been spending away from Aiko, but the more she thought about it, the more she realized her friend was right. "I'm sorry," (Y/n) said earnestly. "I'll try my best not to let anything get in between us."

Aiko rolled her eyes, but a small smile tugged at her lips. "You better," she said playfully as they approached the school gates. The early morning light cast long shadows across the pavement, giving the school an almost eerie atmosphere. (Y/n) felt a shiver run down her spine, but she brushed it off, attributing it to the cool morning air. With a parting smile, the two girls walked their separate ways to their first period.

(Y/n) adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder, her mind still replaying Aiko's words. The campus was unusually quiet for this time of morning, the usual chatter of students replaced by an unsettling silence. She could hear the faint rustle of leaves in the breeze and the distant hum of traffic, but little else. Something felt... off.

The girl tried to shake off the creeping anxiety, reminding herself that she had nothing to worry about. Yet, as she neared the corner, the feeling of being watched became impossible to ignore. She slowed down, her breath hitching as she strained her ears for any sign of movement. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end, her instincts screaming at her to stay alert.

But then, just as she was about to turn down the hallway, something cold and strong clamped around her wrist and over her mouth. Her heart skipped a beat, fear flooding her system as she was suddenly yanked back. The world tilted as she was dragged into a dark room, the lights off, and the door closing behind her with a soft click.

(Y/n) struggled fiercely against the person's hold, her instincts kicking in as she brought her hands behind her, grabbing desperately at the perpetrator's face. The person behind her tried to move their face away, but (Y/n) managed to grab hold and went for the eyes. With a yelp of pain, the assailant let go and shoved her away.
