(Y/n) pulled up to a large house, the car skidding to a stop in front of an imposing golden gate. The fact that she hadn't crashed was a minor miracle, given her lack of a license and the intense adrenaline coursing through her veins. Beside her, Reina had gone frighteningly pale, her breaths coming in shallow, ragged gasps. She had her head half out the window, desperate for air.
Panic surged through (Y/n) as she clambered out of the vehicle and ran to the closed gate. Her eyes quickly spotted an intercom nearby, and she pressed the button repeatedly, the small buzzes echoing in the silence. After a few agonizing seconds, an annoyed voice crackled through the speaker. "The fuck's this?"
(Y/n) immediately perked up and pressed the button again, her voice frantic. "Please open the gate, Reina's having some sort of reaction, we need help!"
The bored voice on the other end suddenly sounded much more interested. Though it wasn't the gravity of the situation that caught his attention, but the familiar voice he couldn't get out of his head. To confirm his suspicion, the voice responded, "Is this (Y/n)?"
"Yes! Open the gate!" she shouted back, her voice desperate.
The intercom buzzed again, and the large gates began to swing open. (Y/n)'s attention snapped to the moving doors. Wasting no time, she sprinted back to the passenger side door and harshly grabbed Reina, lifting her in a bridal-style carry despite the girl's dead weight. Reina's head lolled against (Y/n)'s shoulder, her breaths barely audible.
(Y/n) was suddenly thankful she had taken weightlifting classes as she carried the purple haired girl in her arms. Fueled by sheer adrenaline, she ran through the front gates, passing by a feminine statue that seemed to watch her desperate journey. Her feet pounded against the gravel driveway as she made her way to the front door. Without hesitation, she flung it open and was met with a gray haired boy.
Asahi stood in the doorway, his sharp features etched with surprise. (Y/n) didn't have time to process his presence. She pushed past him, her voice ringing out in the vast space. "I need an EpiPen! Now!"
Asahi glanced between (Y/n) and the girl in her arms, chewing anxiously on his lip with his sharp teeth. He seemed momentarily frozen, his eyes wide with uncertainty. (Y/n) looked up at him, dumbfounded by his lack of action.
"Why aren't you helping?!" she demanded, her voice breaking with panic.
Asahi's gaze flickered over his shoulder into the spacious room beyond. The interior of the mansion was breathtakingly grand. The foyer was vast, with marble floors that gleamed under the soft light of an ornate chandelier hanging high above. The walls were adorned with intricate molding and rich, dark wood paneling. A sweeping staircase with a polished mahogany banister curved gracefully up to the second floor, its steps covered in a plush red carpet. Expensive-looking artwork and tall vases filled with fresh flowers added to the opulence of the space.
As (Y/n) and Asahi stood in the grand foyer, a frantic sound of footsteps echoed from the upper floor. Suddenly, Yuuto came barreling down the sweeping staircase. The blonde raced down the steps with the urgency of a man on a mission, his face etched with determination. In his hand, he clutched an EpiPen.
Yuuto's eyes zeroed in on Reina, who was still struggling to breathe in (Y/n)'s arms. He sprinted across the marble floor, his shoes squeaking slightly with each rapid step. Without a word, he came to an abrupt stop in front of the two girls, completely disregarding (Y/n)'s presence. His focus was solely on Reina.
With practiced precision, Yuuto knelt beside Reina and wasted no time administering the EpiPen to her thigh. The small click of the injection was almost inaudible, but its impact was immediate. Reina's muscles, which had been tense with the effort of drawing breath, began to relax. Her breathing grew steadier, the tightness in her chest easing.
