(Y/n) stood in the doorway of Reina's room, her eyes scanning the space in front of her. To her right was a neatly made bed tucked into the corner, its crisp sheets looking even more perfect than those she'd seen in display rooms. A bookshelf sat against the right wall, its shelves lined with a mix of books and small trinkets. Just beyond that, a door led to a closet. Opposite the closet, on the left wall, was a giant mounted TV that took up a decent portion of the wall, and a little further down the wall next to said TV, a door that likely led to the bathroom. Across from her, two large windows allowed the last bits of twilight to seep through, a simple desk neatly placed between them. The room matched the layout of the others she'd seen, but this one had an undeniable personal touch. There was a softness to the space, a care that reflected Reina's meticulous nature.
Walking further inside, (Y/n) took in the cozy atmosphere. Reina sat cross-legged atop the bed, her purple hair cascading over her shoulders, now undone from the fishtail braid she had worn earlier. The girl had been quietly tidying up, making sure everything was just right before (Y/n) entered. The bed was so perfectly arranged that it almost felt wrong to sit on it.
Occasionally throughout the evening, one of the boys would knock or try to check in, but Reina had consistently shooed them away. "I want alone time with (Y/n)!" she'd say with a playful wave, though her words were firm. It was clear she was enjoying the girl's company, and (Y/n) was happy to see her friend loosening up more with every passing hour.
The night had turned out to be more fun than (Y/n) had anticipated. They shared stories, watched silly videos, and laughed at memories from school. It felt easy, like they had been friends for years, and it reminded (Y/n) of how relaxed and carefree Reina had been back at Kane's Farm. For a while, the tension from earlier in the evening faded away, leaving just the two girls enjoying each other's company.
But as the clock approached 9 PM, Reina's energy began to wane. She let out a small yawn, her hand covering her mouth as she gave (Y/n) an apologetic look. "I'm an early riser," she explained with a sheepish smile. "I guess old habits die hard."
Reina's expression softened as she hesitated for a moment, then glanced over at (Y/n). "Um... you don't mind sharing a bed, do you?" she asked, her voice tentative. "If you do, I can get the air mattress. Whatever makes you more comfortable."
(Y/n) chuckled, shaking her head. "I don't mind sharing. It'd probably be easier that way, right?"
Reina nodded, her expression relaxing slightly as she swallowed nervously. "Okay, well... since you didn't bring any nightwear, I left some clothes for you on the counter in my bathroom. You can get changed if you'd like. I'll be in bed."
And with that, Reina slid into bed, pressing herself up against the wall, leaving plenty of space. (Y/n) watched her, amused by how cautious Reina was being. Shaking her head slightly, she turned and headed for the bathroom.
The bathroom was as clean and simple as the rest of Reina's room, but everything was immaculate. On the counter sat the pair of pajamas Reina had left for her, folded with the same care that seemed to extend through everything Reina did. As (Y/n) changed, she caught her reflection in the mirror. Of course, even Reina's pajamas looked like something you'd wear out shopping, more stylish than casual. (Y/n) couldn't help but smirk. What was the brand again? She racked her brain, but the name escaped her. It made sense, though, given Reina's family's ties to that high-end fashion company.
Once dressed, she washed her face and ran her fingers through her hair, trying to shake off the weight of the evening. Finished, she stepped out of the bathroom and glanced toward the bed. Reina was already fast asleep, her breathing steady and soft. How does she fall asleep that fast? (Y/n) thought with mild disbelief. Chewing on her lip, (Y/n) padded softly across the room, turning off the lamp by the window. The room dimmed into a soft, comfortable darkness, the only light and noise now coming from the sliver under the door.
