Riku escorted (Y/n) back to Reina's room, but he didn't leave. He stood by the door, silent as ever, his eyes fixed on her every move. His presence felt suffocating, his expression a blank slate she couldn't read.

"Riku," she whispered, trying to keep her voice level despite the panic bubbling in her throat. "Riku, please. You have to help me get out of here. They're insane! They've killed people!" Her voice cracked as she uttered the last words, almost as if saying them made them more real. She stepped closer, desperation fueling her every word.

"They're going to kill me next, guarantee!" she pleaded, searching his face for any sign that he might listen.

The brunette shook his head, his expression unreadable.

"Yes, yes, they are!" she hissed, her frustration mounting. "Hell, Kai already tried!"

At that, Riku flinched- a subtle, involuntary movement, but (Y/n) saw it. His gaze wavered, falling away from hers for just a moment, and that moment gave her a twisted, fleeting hope. He knows something. He knows.

But as quickly as it came, the flicker of empathy vanished, replaced by that stoic, guarded expression.

(Y/n) threw her hands up in frustration. "You're useless," she muttered bitterly, storming to the bed and slumping down beside it on the floor. She buried her face in her hands, feeling utterly trapped and defeated. At least, she thought bitterly, they weren't violent- yet.

"Get out," she mumbled into her palms, too exhausted to keep looking at him.

Riku didn't move. He stood still as a statue by the door, watching her crumble like a broken doll.

"I said get out!" she shouted, her voice raw and angry. Her words cut through the stillness like a knife, and Riku's frown deepened.

For a moment, he looked like he wanted to say something. His lips parted, then closed just as quickly, his brow furrowed in hesitation. Without another word, he turned on his heel and slipped out the door, closing it behind him with a soft click.

Before she could even register the relief of being alone, the door creaked open again, and Keiji strolled in with an exaggerated smile, the smell of bacon and eggs wafting in with him.

"Breakfast in bed, round two!" he announced cheerfully, holding up a tray with a flourish. "Oh- there you are!" His grin faltered when he spotted her sitting on the floor beside the bed, but it quickly returned, even brighter than before. "Bon appétit!"

He placed the tray carefully on the floor next to her, balancing it as if it were a precious work of art. The sight of eggs and bacon glistened on the plate, the aroma teasing her senses. Her stomach growled involuntarily, but she didn't move.

Keiji tilted his head, as if puzzled by her lack of response. "Come on, it's fresh. I made it just for you." His tone was warm, almost too sweet, like syrup covering something rotten underneath.

(Y/n) stared at the food, her appetite nowhere to be found. Her limbs felt heavy, her mind buzzing with exhaustion and fear.

Keiji waited eagerly, his gaze locked on her, nudging the plate just a bit closer. (Y/n) knew she was starving - her stomach twisted with hunger - but there was no way in hell she was going to let them think they had even the slightest control over her.

Keiji's cheerful expression faltered slightly, and he tried again, his voice softer now, almost coaxing. "I made it with lots of love! It's really good."

(Y/n) kept her face blank, unmoved by his attempt. "I'm not eating that."

His smile stretched wider, but there was something unsettling beneath it. "Yes you are," he sang out playfully, lifting the plate again, holding it closer for her to grab.
