TW: SA
Did I go too far? She wondered, watching him carefully, hoping her words might finally get through to him.
"Asahi," she began again, her tone softening but still firm, "I'm sorry if I hurt you, but you need to understand something. I'm a person, too. I have boundaries, and I'm not going to tolerate you disrespecting them."
For a moment, Asahi didn't move. Then, in a quieter voice, he finally spoke. "Then... you're disrespecting my boundaries."
(Y/n) blinked in confusion. "...What?"
Asahi lifted his head, and when his gaze met hers, she noticed the emptiness in his eyes. His voice was eerily calm as he explained, "By going out with Taro. You're breaking my boundaries."
Her shoulders slumped in disbelief. How is he still not getting this? "Asahi, that's not the same thing. Boundaries aren't-"
"Now you're invalidating my feelings," he interrupted, a smirk creeping onto his lips, the sharp points of his teeth glinting under the dim light.
(Y/n) took a step back, her stomach twisting in unease. "Dude, what?" she muttered, the situation becoming more surreal by the second.
Asahi's smirk widened as he took a step closer. "And... you're hurting me here," he said mockingly, placing a hand over his chest as if in pain. "Right here."
It dawned on (Y/n) then: he was mocking her. His smirk, the exaggerated way he held his chest, it was all a game to him. Panic and frustration warred inside her as he continued to close the distance between them.
"Asahi-" she started, her voice rising with urgency, but his smirk dropped, the playful facade vanishing in an instant. His eyes hardened, the coldness in them sending a chill down her spine.
"You think this is funny, don't you?" Asahi's voice was low, menacing. The lightness from earlier was gone, replaced by a dark intensity that made (Y/n) step back once again, her back brushing against the armrest of the couch.
Her breath hitched as she realized there was nowhere left to retreat. "Stop, Asahi," she said, her voice firm but shaking ever so slightly. Her heart was racing, pounding against her chest as he loomed over her.
"Why should I stop?" he asked, his voice taking on a dangerous edge. "You've been stringing me along this whole time. Pretending to be my friend, pretending like you don't know what I want."
(Y/n)'s blood ran cold at his words. "Stringing you along? I've never-"
"Don't play dumb." His eyes bore into hers, dark and unyielding. "You let me think there was a chance. You gave me signals."
"Signals?" she echoed, incredulous. "Asahi, I've never-"
"Just admit it," he cut her off, his voice a growl now. "You like the attention. You liked it when I was flirting with you."
(Y/n) felt the bile rise in her throat. How could he twist everything like this? "I didn't ask for any of this," she said, her voice strained. "I've told you before- I don't see you that way."
Asahi's lips curled into a sneer. "But you see Taro that way, huh?" His jealousy was palpable, dripping from every word. "You'd let him kiss you, wouldn't you? Let him take what's mine."
(Y/n)'s anger flared, but so did her fear. "I'm not yours, Asahi!" she snapped, her voice rising. "I'm not some prize you can claim just because you want to. And Taro has nothing to do with this."
