"Enough!" (Y/n) shouted, but neither teen seemed to hear her.
The brunette charged again, this time tackling Souta, and both of them slammed into the railing. The wood groaned under their combined weight, and (Y/n) froze, horror washing over her.
It was going to give.
The two friends grappled dangerously close to the edge, fists flying, feet slipping. It was chaos.
And then, it happened.
With one final twist of his body, Riku threw all his weight against Souta-
-but this time, he didn't miscalculate.
The railing cracked.
"Souta!" (Y/n) cried, her voice cracking in terror. But the warning came too late.
In the blink of an eye, Riku shoved Souta with all his might, and the boy went tumbling over the edge. His body flailed helplessly as he fell, his limbs flapping in the air like a bird caught in a violent storm. There was a sickening thud as his body hit the floor far below, and for a moment, the world seemed to stop. Everything was silent, too silent.

His eyes were wide, but there was something else in them, something that seemed almost satisfied.
"Get away from there," Riku barked, his voice harsh and sharp.
Before she could even react, he grabbed her by the arm, dragging her away from the railing with surprising strength. His grip was bruising, and (Y/n) struggled, but there was no use. She was powerless against him.
"Wha-"
He didn't give her the chance to finish. With one swift motion, Riku shoved her into her room, slamming the door behind her. She stumbled, her heart racing as she tried to process what had just happened.
"Stay." His voice was cold, devoid of any emotion, as he locked the door behind him.
"Riku!" she cried, pounding her fists against the door, but the brunette was already gone. His footsteps echoed faintly in the hallway before they disappeared entirely, leaving her in the silence of the room.
Her breath was shaky as she tried pulling against the door knob, but it didn't budge. She was trapped, whether she liked it or not.

The night had dragged on, the weight of time pressing against her as the hours stretched long and endlessly. (Y/n) had been trying to stay calm, but fear gnawed at her insides. She couldn't stand being locked in this room any longer. She lingered by one of the windows, watching the snow fall freely outside. If only...
