       The halfway point for the tournament had been reached, as marked by the sky changing from a deep grey to an eerie green. Only one universe, universe nine had been eliminated so far, but it wasn't looking too hot for both universe ten, and universe six. Nearly every member of universe ten had been eliminated, and the only remaining members of universe six were Caulifla, Kale, and two Namekians that Gohan and Piccolo were presently holding off.

As for universe ten, there were only a couple members of their team left in the field, one of which happened to be Zamasu. As soon as Y/n had noticed so many of his team members sitting in the stands, she had insisted that she and Goku search for and check on him. That was what had led them to the situation they were currently in, scouring the arena for the Kai, with little luck. The arena was in complete disarray, nearly destroyed and crumbling, Y/n having to watch her step to make sure she didn't fall straight through the floor.

Dodging a stray ki blast, Goku had nearly lost sight of Y/n as he jogged behind her. He had found it surprisingly difficult to keep up with the chaos when he himself wasn't fighting, having to slip past many a battle unnoticed. He had assumed the ki ball that nearly grazed his cheek was just a stray, but when he felt another one strike him in the back, he whirled around in surprise as his eyes met a pair of black ones.

"There you are! I was looking all over for you," The girl from before, Caulifla exclaimed with a grin. Behind her stood her friend, Kale, a nervous look written across her face as she shrunk behind Caulifla.

"You lookin' to fight? We're a little busy right now," Goku said, his gaze drifting behind him as he looked toward Y/n. Just as she realized Goku was not following her, she looked back, spotting him standing before the Saiyan girls.

"Goku, we don't have time for this, we—" Y/n was cut off by Caulifla as she approached them, the girl letting out a laugh.

"That's right, we're back for a rematch! This time, we won't lose to a bunch of inferior Saiyans like you," Caulifla exclaimed with a proud grin, though as Kale softly tapped her arm, Caulifla let out an annoyed groan. "And I guess cause we need to get stronger. It's my fault Cabba and Hit got eliminated cause I wasn't strong enough. You guys are the strongest Saiyans I know, so I need to learn from you and beat you, so I can win this tournament."

While Y/n had hardly been moved by Caulifla's little speech, Goku let out a chortle, as if excited by the idea. He looked down at Y/n with almost puppy like eyes, begging her.

"Let me handle this, okay? If we see Zamasu, I promise we'll go help him out right away, but I really wanna have this, they're really strong, please?" Goku held his hands together, as if to pray for his pleas to be answered. Y/n sighed, shaking her head as she chuckled.

"Alright, fine. But make it quick, we don't have much time." Y/n said. Goku nearly squealed with excitement, grabbing Y/n by her shoulders and yanking her into a tight hug, startling her as her face was smashed into his chest.

"Thanks, Y/n! Wait right here!" Goku ripped away from the hug as fast as he had pulled her in, running up to Caulifla to accept her challenge. Y/n had to take a moment to gather her wits from the sudden interaction, having not expected to suddenly have her face practically ground against his broad chest. It brought back memories that she both fortunately and unfortunately still held, a bright blush blossoming across her cheeks.
