Remus & Tonks: Our (not so) little family

Remus was a little unsure how to feel about being alive again, there was the obvious of course, he was happy to be alive and to see his child grow into a man eventually and not miss so much of the growing up part. But, there was a lingering worry about the next full moon, quite frankly he didn't know what to expect. Upon his resurrection he had noticed that he looked his age, which for others wouldn't be a big deal but he had always wound up looking older than his years thanks in large to his wolf. He also didn't feel the strange presence he normally would when the wolf was under the surface, although this could have been because the full moon was three weeks away.

The fact remained though; he didn't know what to expect. By all experience Remus felt as young as he had in his early 20s but that would put him in his late thirties, right where he was supposed to be. But if he was in his mid to late thirties then he should feel more like he was entering his late forties to mid-fifties with the way he aged. He had grey hair by the time he was 19 for fucks sake.

He also felt like an idiot for looking a gift horse in the mouth. He should just be grateful that he has his semi-youth back, even if the wolf ages him again he has essentially started all over again. Tonks had told him as much the night before when he told her of his concerns telling him that wolf, or no wolf she would love him regardless. She had also pointed out that if he did turn, this time he would have even more friends to run through a forest with. Which after meeting Lavender he supposed she was right.

It had been interesting to meet Lavender Brown that first morning, she had been bitten multiple times during the final battle and although it hadn't been a full moon the concentration of venom had caused her to turn anyway. Since then she has only turned a handful of times without the Potion to assist due to not being able to afford it and just like he had, she found the time as her wolf easier with company.

The person that had kept her company was Ron Weasley who, even though he couldn't show Remus, was an animagi Weasel. That was when he found out the little information about Harry and Draco who were also Animagi. The two of them had been busy the day before with Lily and her sister issues so, Remus wasn't able to ask them about it, Ron wouldn't tell him what their forms were, just that it was impressive. He supposed it was something big like James's Stag.

With the fact that everyone who had returned had family they desperately wanted to connect with, like himself, Teddy and Tonks wanting to have their time together, James and Lily ... And Regulus he supposed wanted to spend as much time as possible with Harry. It left Sirius a bit alone on this side of things, which he noticed Sirius wasn't pouting about like he would normally if James and himself were busy. Remus figured it had something to do with the fact that Sirius was trying to make amends to his brother.

When he found himself looking over the breakfast table in a Grimmauld place he barely recognized, surrounded by so many people he didn't think would ever see breaking their fast together he was stunned at the change nearly two years made. Next to him was Tonks and Teddy with Andy still the primary carer as the boy got used to their presence after so long. Then along the table next to Andy was Narcissa Mal- No, Black now and Kingsley happily chatting about his upcoming day of work. Next to Kingsley was Severus who was talking with Draco next to him, naturally Harry was next and at the head of the table. On the other side of the table next to Harry was Regulus then Lily and James all talking about what they were planning to do about Petunia and her son after the whole situation the day before.

After that it was the whole Weasley Family, the only exclusion being Bill and Fleur who had an appointment at St Mungo's to check the baby's progress. Fred and George happily surrounded by their loved ones, the whole family looking relieved to have the other half of their dynamic duo back among them. Fred and George looked like they were trying to plan something mischievous for the day, it reminded him of the days that he would plan pranks with James and Sirius. Ginny and Ron had their partners in the mix of red hair and Ron was looking a bit pale knowing that his time was almost up and he would be heading back to prison.
