The last couple of days before the Hogwarts express took everyone away was difficult for all of the 8th and the 7th years, saying goodbye for the final time was not easily prepared for. They knew it wasn't really goodbye and they would be back at some point in the future, closer for some and further for others but for most of the people leaving it was just for the summer before they would be back with a whole new group of students to fill their empty seats.

It had happened for so many years that it really wasn't until the very moment of one's departure from the cycle that one could see it for what it was. An ever turning wheel of magical development but, the stories that the halls of Hogwarts would now see, would no longer have them in it. Now they would become the stories and legends that they heard about in their time there. Stories of the Marauders and The Prewitt twins and legenda like Merlin and Dumbledore, they would become memories, good and bad.

They would always be a part of Hogwarts and Hogwarts would always be a part of them.

The weekend after exams were usually a time for the three R's Rest, Relaxation and Reflection. It was the time when students second guessed every exam they took but got some much needed sleep and swore off books. The few days before the Hogwarts express came though were the three T's, tears, tears and more tears. Harry and Draco had never before seen so many girls crying in their year and they had gone through a war.

They were not immune to it either, at first they were sure they would get away with not being the recipient of any teary goodbye's as most of the people they were close to were in the same boat and leaving. Then Emmy found them and that had all changed, Emmy being a first year at the time of them meeting meant she didn't know a Hogwarts without them and throughout the year had often sought them out for comfort and in some cases she helped with very important things.

Leaving her to fend for herself in what can become a viper pit of people seemed inhuman and when she thought they would never see each other again Draco had been adamant that he would visit her in Hogsmeade. He would buy her so many sweets she wouldn't know what to do with them, when she could go in third year and he insisted she could write to him whenever she wanted.

Harry even told her they might pop in and remind everyone how cool she was, with a wink and a hug. It didn't take long and they had her smiling again and running off to find another person she was sad to see go.

"Is it scary that I'm already not looking forward to sending Teddy off to Hogwarts, If it's anything like that ... well." Harry said giving Draco a significant look that Draco interpreted as 'fuck that', he nodded with his own look that acknowledged he knew what Harry meant.

That emotional rollercoaster was a lot to handle and Teddy was just the first, it would get worse when it was their own children. The next look Draco got was a clear indicator that Harry knew his line of thought because he looked both curious and provocative all at once.

Draco rolled his eyes but smirked knowingly.

"Right while you guys are making sex faces at each other, we were thinking of heading to the three broomsticks for a final drink or two before the final feast. The train comes in the morning 11am remember so, we won't have time tomorrow. Ron and Lavender are staying as they either can't come or can't drink so they are watching Natalia and Antonio was called again to see Lucius. Also before you ask Regulus wanted to get away from Sirius so he is currently waiting in Blaise's room, as a panther I might add, to meet Antonio when he shows up." Pansy told them in what seemed like one breath.

"Yes mother I am aware of what time the train comes." Draco scowled having been torn from his fantasy of kids with Harry.

"We would love to join you all Pansy, lead the way." Harry said politely, making a sweeping gesture for her to in fact lead the way.
