Draco woke Harry in the small hours of the morning by jolting awake, turning all the lights on in the room and muttering to himself while he clambered around their room trying to find something.
After casting a tempus charm to check the time and seeing it was just past 2 am he sat up in bed and watched his husband, as he frantically found a piece of parchment to write on, in amusement. Draco muttered as he wrote and then he went to the collection of rare ingredients he had been gifted and wrote some more.
The most interesting thing about watching Draco in this state was that he appeared to be entirely unaware of the world around him, he went to the shelves in their room and referenced a book. The smile that spread across Draco's face told Harry he had figured out something important. As Harry happened to know that the only thing that had been on Draco's mind lately had been Lavender. He hoped that was it.
She was now well and truly pregnant and her last shift on the full moon had been more difficult due to her swelling belly. Draco was with her during the shift to monitor her while she turned and they were all worried about the next one that was fast approaching, Draco seemed to think it was his personal responsibility to make sure Lavender made it through.
He had done so much research he was basically a werewolf expert and could have very well given whoever the leading expert was a run for their galleons. Lavender and Ron were now the only people who were staying at Grimmauld that weren't family, Kingsley and Severus, even Andy, Tonks and Remus had moved out and back to Andy's house. Though the two of them were there because of the pregnancy and Draco being the mid-wizard for her of sorts.
Lavender didn't trust others with her pregnancy after she was told to terminate it at St Mungo's. Something that had Harry rampaging about equality of care and suing the hospital and causing a media circus.
Harry didn't mind, he just watched with a grin on his face when Draco grabbed a few things and went to walk out their door to go to the lab no doubt, Harry chuckled at his husband.
"Draco love!" He called snapping Draco out of his academic trance. "You may want to put some clothes on before you walk out like that." He waved at Draco's naked form, leering at him as he did.
"Oh shit!" Draco said looking down at himself for the first time.
"I don't mind watching you walk around like that all you want but while we still have all our parents and godfathers under the roof it probably isn't wise. Though if Ron saw you I would pay to see the reaction." He snickered as Draco fumbled with his pants and shirt at the same time trying to save time. Harry got up to help and soon had Draco dressed in slacks and one of Harrys shirts he worked out in.
"What would I do without you?" Draco smiled at him kissing him quickly before picking up his notes and ingredients.
"Brew in the buff apparently." Harry said gesturing at the ingredient and then the time.
"It came to me in a dream Harry." Draco said in awe as Harry himself put on a pair of sweatpants, foregoing a shirt at all and following Draco to the lab down the stairs.
"Should I be worried you're dreaming of Lavender?" Harry quipped. Draco smacked him on the arm and scowled.
"That's gross and I actually wasn't dreaming of her I was sort of dreaming of my birthday and then it warped to new year's day when Mother gave me the wight tears and I realized between that and Neville and Pansy's gift to me, I have everything I need. I already had the solution to my problem. It's going to work this time I just know it" He explained.
"The tears will augment the strength of the potion almost excessively and the use of the moon rose oil is to create the continuous cycle and it will take 30 hours to brew instead of a whole month. The problem with my last three potions were they took too long and they didn't stick. Remus also said that the wolf didn't like the idea of being tamed. It lashed back remember." Harry nodded.
