Estrella rushed towards Damon, enveloping him in a tight hug as tears streamed down her face. She had so many questions, but Damon stood there, his expression akin to seeing a ghost.
His curiosity piqued when he noticed Estrella's hair change color from grey to blue.
"What happened?" She asked, her voice trembling with emotion.
Damon examined her closely, realizing just how much he had missed her, and pulled her close once again.
"How? Where were you?" he inquired.
Estrella explained that she had been underground, hidden away, but she couldn't remember much after they were shot.
Damon decided to take her home, being careful not to overwhelm her with the truth of the passing century. He simply mentioned that he and Stefan had become vampires, which shocked Estrella.
"Stefan is alive?" she exclaimed, her hair shifting from dark blue to grey and then blue again, surprising Damon even more.
Upon reaching home, Stefan opened the door, his expression a mix of curiosity and shock as he laid eyes on Estrella's familiar face.
"Estrella?"
Estrella's eyes filled with tears as she whispered, "Stefan?"
Without hesitation, they ran into each other's arms, embracing tightly. Stefan glanced at Damon, his expression mirroring his brother's mix of curiosity and shock.
Stefan tells Estrella to freshen up in one of the bathrooms and gives her Elena's clothes which she looks confused at but doesn't say anything about.
Both Damon and Stefan discuss how all of this does not make sense.
"This doesn't make any sense," Stefan whispered, his voice barely audible in the tense air.
"She can't be a vampire, right?" he inquired. Damon's jaw clenched as he ran a hand through his hair, frustration evident in his eyes.
"And what about her hair?" Stefan pressed, desperation lacing his words. Damon's shoulders sagged. "I'm as clueless as you are. Is it possible for her to be a witch? "
Before Stefan could answer, they heard a scream.
They rushed upstairs and found Estrella staring at her reflection in the mirror, shocked to see her hair turned white and then blonde.
"What's happening to my hair?" she stammered. Damon and Stefan exchanged a look of shared concern, their hearts heavy with worry.
"We'll figure it out," Stefan promised, his voice gentle but firm.
As Damon was making her food, she watched, intrigued by the way the appliances seemed to run on their own. She turned to Stefan, her eyes wide with curiosity.
"How does it work, Stefan? How does electricity flow through everything?" she asked, pointing to the toaster that had just popped up some toast.
Stefan smiled, clearly enjoying his sister's fascination.
"It's science. Electricity flows through wires and powers these appliances. The toaster, for example, uses electricity to heat coils that toast the bread." Estrella nodded, though her expression was still one of wonder.
"But how does the electricity get here? It seems so mysterious."
"It's generated at power plants and then transmitted through power lines to homes and businesses," Stefan explained.
"Think of it like water flowing through pipes. The power plant is the source, and the wires are the pipes that carry the electricity to where it's needed."
