Elena, Damon, and Alaric set off on a road trip to Duke University to delve into Isobel's research, excitement buzzing in the air.

Estrella remained in awe at the sight of an electric horse, a concept Damon had simplified for her understanding.

Stefan had promised to teach her how to ride it later, and she could hardly contain her anticipation.

Meanwhile, Stefan chose to stay behind, determined to help Caroline learn to control her thirst.

As they worked together, Caroline couldn’t help but ask about Estrella.

“Who was the woman last night?” she inquired, curiosity piqued.

Stefan replied, “She’s my twin.”

Her eyes widened in surprise. “You have a twin?” she exclaimed, taken aback by the news.

He confirmed, “Yes, she is.”

“Her hair... was it just me, or did everyone see that her hair actually changed color?” Caroline pressed, still trying to wrap her mind around it.

Stefan nodded once more. “Yes, it did. She’s a witch, just like Bonnie. But please, don’t tell anyone.”

Caroline smiled reassuringly. “I won’t.”

Estrella finds herself back at square one, enjoying the wonderful company of 'herself' once more.

She fell asleep while reading about witches on the internet, and had a dream similar to before, but clearer this time.

In the dream, she saw a man with long teeth who attacked her. She woke up feeling startled.

To cope with her unsettling dream, Estrella began painting. She painted scenes from her dreams and things she liked.

Stefan takes drastic steps to uncover the true reason for Katherine's return.

She divulges further secrets about events from 1864, including her role in saving Estrella.

Katherine reveals something about Estrella that shocks Stefan even more: Estrella isn't just an ordinary witch.

FLASHBACK

As Estrella and Katherine converse about how she convinced her father to call off the marriage.

Curiosity got the better of Katherine as she inquired about the folders Estrella carried around.

With a gentle nod, Estrella revealed her drawings, which initially impressed Katherine with their quality.

However, her admiration swiftly turned to shock as she realized the true nature of the sketches.

To an ordinary person, they might seem like random doodles, but to someone acquainted with the supernatural, like Katherine, they bore unmistakable symbols of witchcraft.

As Katherine flipped through the pages, her breath caught in her throat at the sight of one particular drawing that shook her to the core.

"How did you draw this?" she demanded, her tone urgent.

Estrella simply shrugged. "I just draw whatever comes to mind."

In Katherine's hand lay a drawing depicting a familiar pair of eyes, their golden glow unmistakable.

Seizing one of the drawings, Katherine hurried to Emily, urgency coloring her actions.

Emily's eyes widened as she studied the symbol. "This isn't ordinary witchcraft," she confirmed.
