FLASHBACK

Unexpectedly, Alexander's health started deteriorating, worrying Estella.

Little did they know that the wineskin he used was contaminated with an ancient poisonous herb that only a knowledgeable witch could know.

Nearby, someone watched and smiled maliciously as Alexander took his first sip of the freshly brewed wine.

Now, all they had to do was wait.

Estella tried to help him by bringing herbs, even though she didn't know much about them.

Surprisingly, they seemed to provide some relief.

A week later, she went with Tatia to an event where she met a man named George Salvatore. He seemed shocked to see and asked about her.

Estella was confused but even more surprised when she saw his son, Steven Salvatore.

She couldn't help asking if they'd met before, but he denied it.

She noticed George looked guilty of something. Feeling uneasy, she excused herself and left.

Later, when Estella got home, she found someone had gifted her new dresses and jewelry, but she didn't know who they were from.

Elijah teased Estella about having a secret admirer, which made Kol tense.

In return, she teased him about Tatia. Unaware of the feud between Elijah and Niklaus as they both liked Tatia.

One day, when Elijah and Niklaus were fighting, Estrella stepped between them to stop the fight.

That was when she discovered their feud, which surprised her.

To calm herself, Estella wandered into the woods by the creek.

She picked up a stone and tossed it into the water, watching as the ripples slowly expanded across the surface, mirroring the turmoil inside her.

A rustle in the leaves caught her attention.

She glanced over her shoulder to see Kol approaching.

Without a word, he sat down beside her. Estella smiled faintly, grateful for his quiet presence.

"You shouldn't wander around alone. It’s quite dangerous," Kol said softly, his tone unusually gentle for someone known for his mischievous nature.

Estella sighed, staring at the water. "I just wanted to clear my thoughts, that's all."

For a moment, they sat in silence, the only sound being the gentle trickle of the creek and the rustling of leaves in the wind.

"Don't worry about Niklaus and Elijah," Kol reassured her, glancing at her with a small smile.

She nodded, feeling some of the weight lift from her shoulders, the tension easing slightly as his words brought her comfort.

They both watched as she threw another stone, hoping it would skip, but it just plunged into the water.

"You missed it again," he teased, a playful smirk on his face.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "Only because you keep distracting me," she accused.

After a few tries, Estella gave up, but Kol stopped her.

He moved behind her, holding her hand that held the stone, and told her to concentrate.

As Estella focused on the water, Kol kept his eyes on her and whispered, "Release."

To her surprise, the stone skipped three times before submerging in the water.
