PART-3- Story of Estella Alexanderdóttir

FLASHBACK

Year 1110 AD

In the town of Lynchburg, there was a young woman who faced a difficult decision. She discovered she was with a child out of wedlock, and in her society, that was looked down upon.

Afraid of being judged and rejected by their community, the young woman and her partner decided to leave town for a while to keep her pregnancy hidden.

They traveled together to a nearby town called Mystic Falls, where they kept their true reasons for leaving Lynchburg a secret.

The young woman said she was going to go stay with her grandparents, while her partner claimed he was exploring the new town.

As time passed, the young woman gave birth to a baby girl. With a shared understanding, the couple knew they couldn't raise the child themselves. The fear of facing their community made their decision even more difficult.

With heavy hearts, they made a tough choice. They left their Fifteen-day-old baby girl near the hut of a man named Alexander.

They had watched him closely for over a month and believed he would care for their child well. Feeling regretful, the couple returned to their community, carrying the weight of their decision with them.

Alexander was a well-respected man in the village, known for his kindness. But recently he had endured a cruel twist of fate. His beloved wife had been taken from him by a wild animal one fateful night.

With her gone, Alexander felt like he had lost his reason to go on. The pain of her absence made each day a struggle, and he found his sense of purpose slipping away.

One morning, as Alexander began his usual chores, he opened his door to a surprising sight: a small child lying in a basket outside. Shocked doesn't begin to describe how he felt.

There was a note asking him to take care of the baby. He couldn't imagine what the poor child must have endured, spending the night alone in the frightening village. Alexander felt a rush of worry and sympathy for the baby.

Without hesitation, Alexander brought the baby inside and made sure she was warm and fed. Then, he went to the village leader to explain what had happened.

Despite his efforts, they couldn't find any information about the baby's parents, as there was no name or identity on the note.

The village leader suggested placing the baby in childcare until she was older and could assist the maids.

Although Alexander knew it was probably the best decision, he felt torn. He didn't feel emotionally stable enough to raise a child, but leaving her behind made him hesitate.

An elderly woman who had been assisting Alexander with the baby for the past week offered her perspective.

She believed that caring for the child would bring positivity into Alexander's life and improve his well-being.

She suggested that perhaps the child was a blessing from Eloise, indicating that she would have wanted him to find comfort and joy in raising the little one.

The mention of his late wife brought tears to Alexander's eyes. As he looked down at the baby in his arms, who was gazing up at him with a warm smile, he felt a sense of warmth and connection.

With a kiss on her tiny forehead, he decided to embrace her as his own. They found comfort in each other, bringing light to Alexander's life once again.
