Back at Whitmore, Enzo's condition was worsening. He stumbled forward, leaning on a table, his breathing ragged.
Damon frowned. "What the hell's wrong with you?"
Enzo, gritting his teeth, revealed the grim truth. "Wes injected me with poison. Without the antidote, I'll desiccate."
Damon, always quick to strategize, responded, "All the more reason for you to tell me where he is. I'll get you the antidote, save Elena, and we'll kill Wes together."
But Enzo's eyes darken with anger. "Did you even think about it after you left? The experiments, the cell... or did you just walk away and live your merry little life?" Enzo growls, his pain making his resentment more raw.
He takes a few shaky steps toward Damon, but before he can get too close, Estrella swiftly steps between them, her expression hard.
"Let me handle this, Estrella," Damon says quietly, gently moving her aside.
Damon turns back to Enzo, his voice softer but still resolute.
"Enzo, look at me. If you go back, we go back together. We end this. Come on," he says, offering his hand in a gesture of reconciliation.
Enzo takes it but pulls Damon roughly toward him, his grip vice-like. "You're not gonna see your girl again, Damon," he sneers, his face twisted in pain and rage. "Because I want the antidote, and Wes told me not to come back until you're dead."
The situation escalated in an instant. Enzo, enraged, grabbed Damon by the neck, choking him.
Estrella, seeing Damon struggle, unleashed her magic, freezing Enzo in place with an aneurysm spell.
But even that wasn't enough to stop him. His rage was too far gone.
Before Estrella can react, Enzo pulls Damon by the neck and hurls him through the window.
She gasps in shock, but before she can move, Enzo flings a jagged piece of wood toward her.
She screamed as the sharp wood drove into her leg, pain radiating up her body.
Enzo's eyes widened in shock as the red magic crackled violently around Estrella's fingers.
He was thrown back through the broken window, crashing outside with a heavy thud.
Panting, Estrella forced herself to her feet, her leg screaming in protest.
She yanked the stake out with a grimace, tossing it aside. Blood trickled from the wound, staining her pants, but she barely registered it.
She forced herself to move, staggering toward the door with determination etched on her face.
"Oh, I see how well you're handling things, brother," she grumbled under her breath, limping toward the fight outside.
"I should've just stayed at work." She muttered under her breath, her hair shifting from its usual vibrant color back to black.
--------
Estrella arrived just in time to see Enzo speeding towards Damon, his hand latching onto Damon's neck with a vice-like grip.
Damon's face contorted in pain as he struggled to breathe, his feet barely touching the ground.
Without hesitation, Estrella's hands flickered with red magic once again, her eyes narrowing in concentration.
Enzo's body stiffened, his movements halted as the aneurysm spell took hold.
Damon gasped for air, managing to pry Enzo's hand off his neck, his voice rough from the strain.
"Enzo, look at me," Damon said firmly, holding onto his old friend. "Stop, Ella," he added, his voice softer but commanding.
