Estrella turned slowly, her breath catching in her throat as she saw Veronica and a group of witches standing in the living room, their faces unreadable but their presence unmistakable.

"Hello, Estrella. Can we talk?" Veronica asked, her smile small but calculated.

Noah, sensing the tension, immediately tightened his grip on Estrella's hand, his protective instincts kicking in.

Meanwhile, Kai, standing off to the side, looked ready to combust. If looks could kill, Noah would have been obliterated by Kai's fierce glare.

Damon and Stefan exchanged uneasy glances, clearly disagreeing with Veronica's presence.

"No, she's not going anywhere near you all," Kai said, his voice cold and firm, stepping closer to Estrella as though he could shield her from whatever was about to unfold.

Estrella, still reeling from the shock of Kai being alive and right in front of her, tried to steady her breathing.

Noah, standing beside her, smirked in surprise as her hair began to turn light pink.

"You can say what you need to right here," Estrella replied, her voice steady despite the storm of emotions churning inside her.

Veronica gave a curt nod. "Very well."

They moved to the living room, the tension in the air evident as everyone took their places.

The atmosphere was thick with unspoken words and unease.

One of the Gemini witches stepped forward, his gaze locked on Estrella.

"We're here to address two very serious matters," he began, his tone firm but not overtly aggressive.

"But before that, you need to understand the gravity of the situation we're all in. Let me be clear-none of us mean you or anyone else harm." His words, though diplomatic, carried a weight that was hard to ignore.

Estrella glanced toward Anthony, hoping for some silent reassurance, but he avoided her eyes, shifting uncomfortably. His silence gnawed at her, deepening her unease.

"Where are Aiden and Eleanor?" Estrella asked, her voice tight with concern.

The room fell into a brief, puzzled silence as the others exchanged confused glances, clearly unfamiliar with the names she had mentioned.

"They're safe," Veronica answered calmly. "The council has placed them under protection."

Her tone was composed, but there was something carefully measured in the way she spoke, like someone walking a tightrope.

"We'll get to that in time, but first, we need to address how you nearly killed our leader and jeopardized the safety of the entire coven. This could easily be seen as a crime," the witch standing beside Veronica interjected, her eyes narrowing as they pinned Estrella with accusation.

Estrella parted her lips to defend herself, but before she could speak, Veronica shot the witch a sharp, silencing glance.

"However, we're not pressing any charges, given the...circumstances," Veronica continued, though her voice now carried a subtle edge, an unspoken warning.

Kai, ever the provocateur, couldn't resist muttering under his breath, "As if you could." His sarcasm sliced through the air, earning him cold, unimpressed stares from the witches.

Lexi, who had been leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, rolled her eyes before adding with biting sarcasm, "Let's not forget that he did try to kill her. Did you really think she'd just hand him a bouquet of flowers and a thank-you note for that?"
