Estrella showed her surprise as Enzo revealed how Lily's family had been reunited with her.

On that night, Kai had rescued and cloaked them, but when he died, the magic was undone.

She nodded, processing the unexpected news.

She arrived at her mother Lily Salvatore's residence, accompanied by Enzo, who seemed to have an uncanny awareness of her whereabouts.

Lily appeared visibly surprised by her visit.

As Estrella stepped inside, she was greeted by a group of heretics-Lily's self-proclaimed family.

Among them, she was particularly surprised to see Valerie, who greeted her with a smile.

"So, you're the infamous pumpkin," remarked a striking brunette, her tone dripping with condescension.

The nickname struck an uncomfortable chord in Estrella.

"What?" Estrella asked, puzzled.

"You're Estrella, right? Kai used to babble about you all the time," added a blonde woman with an air of amusement.

"Honestly, it was endearing at first, then it got annoying later on," the brunette continued, a smirk playing on her lips.

"But his descriptions of you didn't do you justice," she added, her eyes raking over Estrella, while the blonde shot her a glare.

Sensing Estrella's unease at the mention of Kai, Enzo deftly changed the subject, shifting attention to Lily.

"I believe introductions are in order," Lily said, her voice carrying an air of authority.

"This is Nora and Mary-Louise," she continued, gesturing towards a brunette and a blonde, both of whom nodded.

"And this is Beau and Malcolm," she added, pointing to a dark-skinned man with a solemn expression and a sharply dressed brunette man.

"And this is—"

"Valerie," Estrella interrupted, her tone sharper than intended. "I remember you."

Lily’s eyes widened in surprise.

"Hello, Estrella," Valerie greeted her with a smile, her voice warm.

Lily quickly recovered, her voice steady but with a hint of tension.

"They are my family," she declared, "And this is Estrella, my biological daughter."

Estrella’s heart sank slightly at the distinction, but she forced a polite nod, masking the sting with a faint smile.

"For what do I owe the visit, Estrella?" Lily asked, attempting to defuse the tension.

"Can we talk in private?" She requested, her tone betraying her discomfort.

"You do know we vampires can hear you," Malcolm quipped.

"Well, I'm a witch who can use magic to ensure you can't," Estrella retorted, her patience wearing thin.

"We can siphon your magic," Mary-louise countered, a challenging edge in her voice.

"Not hers. But if you want to be thrown a mile away, feel free. I won't stop you," Enzo interjected, a smirk tugging at his lips.

Estrella managed an awkward smile, appreciating Enzo's support.

"Let's not squabble like children. Come with me," Lily said, beckoning Estrella to follow her into a private room.

Once inside, Estrella casts a privacy spell, shielding their conversation from prying ears.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Lily inquired, her tone cool and detached.
