Katherine met Estrella who was visibly upset as she confronted the woman responsible for Jeremy's death.
"I did what I had to do. I'm sorry, but before I leave again, I want to see you," Katherine said, her voice unusually soft, stripped of its usual arrogance.
Estrella, eyes brimming with tears, shared her connection with the Originals, her voice trembling with emotion.
"You knew, didn't you? When you saw the painting I drew?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Katherine nodded, a flicker of regret crossing her features.
"At that time, I thought you could be my ticket to freedom, but I saved your life because you didn't deserve that. You are one of the only people who believe I could be good. I understand if you don't trust me, but that's the truth," she explained, sincerity lacing her words.
An idea sparked in Estrella's mind, and she gestured for Katherine to wait until nightfall.
Later, as the Mikaelsons prepared to leave, Estrella bid her farewells.
She found Rebekah in a quiet corner, her heart heavy with sorrow over the loss of the cure.
Estrella wrapped her arms around her, offering comfort as Rebekah's shoulders shook with quiet sobs.
When she hugged each of the Mikaelsons, she saved Klaus for last.
As they stood alone, Estrella looked up at him, determination etched on her face.
"Can you grant Katerina Petrova her freedom?" she asked boldly, her voice steady.
Klaus raised an eyebrow, taken aback by her request.
"No. And being this kind will never do you good, my friend. The world will never return it back to you," Klaus replied, a hint of irritation in his tone as he crossed his arms, his skepticism evident.
She held his gaze, unwavering.
"I don't do it to expect something in return, Nik. I do it because I want to. It's not about what I might gain; it's about what I believe is right," she insisted, her voice steady despite the weight of his words.
Klaus studied her for a moment, a mixture of admiration and frustration flickering across his face. "You're naïve if you think that kindness will shield you from the harsh realities we face. There are consequences to every action, Estella."
"True," she replied, her determination unwavering. "But I'd rather take the risk of being kind than let the darkness consume me. I won't let fear dictate my choices. You've all faced so much pain, and I refuse to turn my back on someone in need just because it's safer."
Klaus sighed, looking at her with a mixture of exasperation and respect. "You truly are different from the rest, aren't you? It's infuriating and admirable at the same time."
Her eyes pleaded with him. "Nik, I know Katherine has done terrible things, but she's been through so much. She lost her family, ran for centuries, and made choices out of fear and desperation. I don't agree with everything she's done, but she's still my friend," Estrella said, her voice unwavering as she fought for Katherine.
Klaus sighed deeply, his expression softening as he sensed her sincerity. "Fine," he relented. "Call her."
Estrella quickly dialed Katherine, her heart racing.
When Katherine answered, her voice was tinged with anxiety. "I can't face him," she insisted, her resolve faltering.
"Do you trust me?" Estrella asked gently, hoping to instill some courage in her friend.
