Damon apologized again to Estrella for how he had spoken to her that day, his tone softer this time. "I'm really sorry for how I acted."
Estrella looked at him, her expression thoughtful before she responded with a smile. "I'll forgive you, but on one condition."
He raised an eyebrow, curious. "What's that?"
"I want to go to school," she mumbled shyly, her words catching him off guard.
Damon blinked in surprise, pausing for a moment before reluctantly agreeing.
"Fine... but promise me you'll behave. And try to control your hair," he added, eyeing her, half-joking but clearly serious.
Estrella grinned. "I promise. I'm not like you," she teased, her smile growing as she saw the faintest smirk tugging at Damon’s lips.
Stefan stepped forward, handing her a brand-new phone.
"Here, this has everyone's numbers in it," he said gently, showing her how to use it.
His eyes were apologetic as he added, "I’m sorry I haven’t spent enough time with you."
Estrella waved it off with a light shrug. "That's okay. Apology accepted."
As she examined the phone, she was startled but delighted when Caroline's voice came through on a call.
A broad smile spread across her face as they began talking about school, excitement bubbling in her voice as Caroline shared details and stories.
The next day, as Estrella was getting ready for school, Damon was helping her with her bag when Stefan entered the room with a serious expression.
“Rose is here,” Stefan said.
Estrella, surprised, followed him to the living room where Elena was already seated on the couch. Estrella sat beside her, both girls exchanging uncertain glances, unsure if they could trust Rose.
Rose stood before them, her face tense but determined. "Okay, you have to understand, I only know what I've picked up over the years. I don't know what's true and what isn't. That's the problem with all this vampire stuff. But Klaus... I know he's real."
"Who is he?" Estrella asked, her voice curious yet cautious.
"He's one of the Originals. He's a legend," Rose replied solemnly.
"From the first generation of vampires?" Stefan asked, his brow furrowing.
"Like Elijah?" Elena added, confusion in her tone.
"No. Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He’s a foot soldier. Klaus... Klaus is the real deal," Rose clarified, her eyes flicking to Estrella.
"Klaus is known to be the oldest," Stefan added.
"So, you're saying the oldest vampire in history is coming after me?" Elena asked, fear creeping into her voice.
"Yes," Rose confirmed.
"No," Stefan and Estrella said at the same time, with Estrella narrowing her eyes at Rose.
"What they're saying is, if what she’s saying is true..." Damon began, his tone skeptical.
"It is," Rose interjected firmly.
"And you’re not just saying this so I don’t kill you, which, honestly, I should’ve done in the first place for hurting my sister," Damon growled, his eyes darkening with anger as he glared at Rose.
"I’m not lying, and I apologize for that," Rose said, turning her gaze to Estrella, offering a genuine apology.
Damon leaned back, his expression still tense. "Then we’re looking at a solid maybe."
