Oliver returned, discussing the flight details and the car booking he'd arranged for their return home.
But before he could finish, the twins rushed over to him, their small feet pattering on the floor.
"Uncle Oli!" they cried in unison, bringing an instant look of relief to his tired face.
"Oh, my bunnies," he whispered, kneeling to their level and embracing them tightly. "You were so brave."
Estrella smiled, stepping forward to introduce Oliver to everyone.
When it was Kai's turn, Oliver raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"Mi amor, isn't he the stunner?" Noah teased, flashing a grin at Kai, who offered a slight nod in response.
Estrella could feel her cheeks warm as Noah winked at her playfully. She shook her head with a small smile, amused but nervous at how quickly this family was forming, though it still felt so fragile.
Meanwhile, Anthony had launched into a discussion about the voting committee's plan to re-elect Kai as their leader-a conversation that Estrella couldn't care less about.
All she wanted was to leave with her children and return to the way things were. But deep down, she knew that normalcy was a fantasy now-everything had changed.
In the background, the Mystic Falls gang was huddled together, plotting to kill the devil with the dagger-a plan that made Estrella's stomach churn.
But there was one major problem: Kai was still trapped, tied to hell.
And while the gang knew that no one else could help them with this daring plan, they also knew the person who could-Estrella.
Determined to leave as soon as possible, Estrella hurriedly packed clothes for herself and the twins, grateful for the few things Lexi had brought over.
Oliver had arranged everything, making sure they could get home without any trouble.
But as she descended the stairs, Estrella paused, her breath catching at the sight before her.
The twins were sitting amidst a mountain of toys, their faces alight with joy as they chatted excitedly with Lizzie and Josie.
"Mommy, look what Daddy, Uncle Steffie, Dames and Aunt Care brought us!" Eleanor squealed, clutching a new doll to her chest, her smile as wide as the room itself.
"What? How?" she stuttered, her voice catching as she tried to process it all.
Estrella's heart swelled, but a pang of sadness followed.
For a fleeting moment, the scene seemed perfect, like a snapshot of the life she had wanted for them.
But reality quickly crept back in, reminding her that this moment of joy, however precious, was just a temporary reprieve from the storm they still had to face.
"Her name is Lizzie, because her hair is just like hers," Eleanor said cheerfully, holding up the doll with pride.
Lizzie, standing nearby, blushed and looked bashful at the compliment.
"I named my doll after Nellie," Lizzie added, her smile growing wider. "Both dolls are sisters, just like us."
Estrella's heart swelled at the sweet exchange, but her attention was soon drawn to Aiden, who was excitedly showing off his new toys.
"Mommy, look! I got Hot Wheels! Isn't this so cool? Thanks, Uncle Steffie!" Aiden grinned as he flashed Stefan a thumbs-up, which Stefan returned with an easy smile and the same gesture.
