Stefan and Damon were deep in discussion about a new plan to handle Katherine at the Lockwood masquerade ball.
Stefan helped Estrella understand the gravity of what happened with Mason, explaining the circumstances and their implications.
He later turned to Caroline, asking her to help find a dress for Estrella, to attend the ball.
Damon disagreed, but Stefan didn't pay him much mind.
"Hey Estrella," Stefan said with a grin, "I was thinking, would you like to come to the masquerade ball with me?"
She smiled but hesitated for a moment. "Alright, Stefan, but only if Damon isn't there with his ugly personality"
He chuckled. "Deal. I'll make sure he behaves himself. " He takes her to Caroline's house to get ready.
Both girls are happy to see each other again.
Caroline's mom, Liz, meets Estrella, who manages to stop her hair from changing color, but it turns blue when she's alone with Caroline.
As Estrella and Caroline prepared for the ball, their conversation flowed easily as if they had been friends for a long time.
Caroline held up a dress for Estrella's inspection, excitement dancing in her eyes.
However, Estrella's expression soured as she eyed the short length of the garment.
She came from a time when even showing ankles was deemed improper.
Sensing her hesitation, Caroline chuckled lightly, assuring her, "Don't worry, Estrella. You'll look stunning in this. Trust me."
As Caroline deftly curled Estrella's hair, which she watched in pure fascination, her eyes alight with curiosity.
Caroline, noticing Estrella's captivation, couldn't help but ask, "So, you don't go to school with Stefan?"
Estrella froze momentarily, her thoughts drifting to a time long past.
Her hair, reacting to her inner turmoil, darkened to a deep blue hue.
"Ladies attend school?" she mused in wonderment.
Confusion clouded Caroline's features momentarily before she answered, "Um, yes, they do. It's quite common."
A spark of realization flickered in Estrella's eyes as her hair turned an even deeper shade of blue.
"I want to go to school," she declared resolutely, a newfound determination evident in her voice. "I'll tell Stefan."
Caroline laughed, a warm smile playing on her lips.
"That sounds like a plan. We'll get to hang out more," she remarked, excitedly.
"Hang out?" Estrella queried her expression of genuine curiosity.
Caroline clarified with a grin, "It means we'll get to see each other more often."
Estrella's face lit up with a radiant smile as she nodded in understanding.
"I'd like that," she replied earnestly, her excitement palpable.
"Hey, how does your hair thing work?" Caroline asked, her curiosity shining through.
"I honestly don't know. It just changes based on how I feel," She replied.
Caroline didn't press the conversation further.

As they arrived at the ball, Damon tried to catch Estrella's attention, but she deliberately ignored him, her focus elsewhere.
