Time seemed to stretch on forever, but at last, a portal ripped open in the air.
The room collectively held its breath as two children stumbled through-twins, who looked unmistakably like Kai.
Kai's eyes widened in shock, his nerves evident as he took in the sight.
The twins ran straight to Noah, who knelt down and wrapped them in his arms.
"Hey, shh. It's alright. You're okay," he whispered, comforting them as they slumped against him, exhausted but safe.
The portal remained open for a moment longer, and through it stepped the Gemini witch.
But as she blinked, her eyes gleaming with a familiar red magic, her smirk growing, everyone realized who it truly was.
"Estrella?" Stefan breathed, stunned.
Estrella moved forward confidently, her steps steady as she approached her original body, which sat in trance nearby.
She glanced at Noah, who nodded and vamped out of the room with the twins, ensuring their safety. "Phasmatos Tribum, Nas Ex Veras, Uenes Fes Matos Et Somnos. Ex Totum Ex Um Maleo Matos."
Without hesitation, Estrella took a simple knife from nearby and drove it into the host body's chest, freeing the Gemini witch from the possession.
The witch's eyes flashed red, then black, before they returned to their normal color.
She collapsed with a thud, breathing heavily, the strain of the spell and a wound pain evident.
Estrella gasped as her spirit reentered her own body, her eyes rolling back for a moment as she fought to stabilize herself.
She grounded herself by focusing on the flickering candle nearby, using its warmth to center her.
Once steady, she turned her gaze toward the witch who lay bleeding and panting on the floor.
A smirk played on Estrella's lips as the book that had been levitating dropped to the ground with a soft thud-the spell was complete.
"Lexi," Estrella said simply, her voice calm despite the chaos around her.
Lexi sprang into action, rushing to remove the knife from the witch's chest. She quickly fed the witch her blood, healing her wounds.
Though healed, the witch passed out from exhaustion, her body limp but stable.
Estrella slowly stood, stretching as she shook off the remnants of the spell's strain. Lexi pulled her into a tight hug, grinning.
"You're one of a kind, you know that?" Lexi laughed, and Estrella chuckled, her exhaustion momentarily forgotten.
With a final smile, Estrella turned to Anthony. "I've upheld my end of the deal. No Gemini witch was killed-or heavily maimed. Once again, I've given your coven a favor." Estrella's voice was firm, each word carrying an edge of finality.
She held up the book, her eyes flickering with something unreadable as she added, "You can have the book now-I don't need it."
She made her way to the room where Noah and the twins were. The twins had fallen into a deep sleep, their small bodies curled up on the bed.
"They're alright, just tired from the magic," Noah said softly, watching over them with care.
Estrella knelt beside them, pulling the twins close and gently running her fingers through their hair, her touch full of affection.
"I am so sorry. You're safe now," she whispered, relief washing over her as she held them protectively, her eyes softening as she gazed down at the children she had fought so hard to protect.
