February 17th, 2018- 10:30 PM (Location: Grove Hill)

At the Armoury, a tense meeting was unfolding.

Damon, Bonnie and others were gathered, still working on a plan to kill the devil, an endeavor that had failed miserably the last time.

The air was thick with frustration.

Surprisingly, even Kai was present, much to the dismay of Jo, Alaric, Liv, and Bonnie.

Jo and Alaric knew they needed to confront Kai about what had happened three days ago, yet the weight of uncertainty held them back.

Even, Kai remained unfazed, leaning casually against the wall with an air of indifference.

Damon had insisted on Kai's help to undo a spell to wake Elena which brothers had retrieved from Cade, and despite the bitter history between them, everyone was at least willing to tolerate his presence for the time being.

Their discussions were interrupted by the sudden buzzing of Lexi's phone.

She glanced at the screen and frowned when she saw Anthony's name flash across it.

She answered swiftly. "Hello?"

"Have you heard from Estrella?" Anthony's voice was urgent, anxiety evident in his tone.

Every vampire in the room froze at the mention of Estrella's name.

Damon and Kai exchanged sharp glances, while Stefan, now human, looked confused, trying to catch up with what was happening.

Caroline, Bonnie, and Jo turned toward Lexi, concerned etched across their faces.

Kai leaned in toward Lexi, his breath shallow with growing unease.

"Put it on speaker. Please," he murmured, his usually cocky tone subdued.

With a sigh, Lexi complied, her finger tapping the speaker button.

"Yes, I just spoke with her this evening. Why? And just so you know, you're on speaker," she warned Anthony.

"Listen to me," Anthony's voice grew more urgent. "I've heard something-details are unclear, but it's Joshua. He's planning something big. You need to call Estrella and get them out of there, just to be safe."

"Where are you right now?" Lexi asked, her voice tight with worry.

"I'm in New York, standing in the middle of Bryant park, trying to enjoy my well-earned retirement vacation," Anthony replied with a heavy sigh.

"But of course, the minute I step away, the coven starts to crumble. Figures, right?" There was a dry chuckle before his tone turned more serious.

"Listen, don't panic. One of my informants overheard Veronica talking with some of the witches, and both Estrella and Joshua's names came up. It sounds like he's planning something. That's why I'm on high alert. I'm heading to Portland to check things out myself, but honestly, it's probably just coven drama. I'll keep you updated, but you do the same, alright?"
