Chapter 33

**(Long Chapter ahead)**

Estrella, having denied attending a recent party, wakes up in a panic, her hair shockingly white.

She had dreamt of a boy her age writing on parchment, using what appeared to be blood.

A sudden knock at her door startles her. When she opens it, she finds Caroline, visibly distressed.

Caroline bursts out with the confession of what had happened, leaving Estrella in shock.

"Please, say something," Caroline whispers, her voice laced with anxiety.

Estrella lets out an awkward laugh. "Well, you finally had your scandalous sex," she says, trying to lighten the moment.

"Hey! You said 'sex'!" Caroline retorts, relieved. "Honestly, I thought you’d judge me for what I did, but... thank you."

Estrella's expression shifts to one of seriousness. "Caroline, what you do is none of my business, but you owe Tyler some closure. He deserves that from you. Just... don’t let anyone, especially a man, control your decisions."

"Preach," Caroline agrees with a sigh, nodding. She leans her head against Estrella's shoulder, exhausted. "Relationships are so hard."

"Let’s make a promise," She added, suddenly.

Estrella looks down at her, curious. "What promise?"

Caroline squeezes Estrella’s hand. "If you and l are still single when we, I mean, you turn 30, we’ll stop looking for guys and just marry each other. Men are disappointing anyway," she jokes.

Estrella laughs, nodding in agreement. "Deal."

The next morning, Estrella asks Caroline to compel her manager to forget about her missed shifts.

Caroline, always ready to help, not only compels him to forget but also to give Estrella a raise, winking mischievously afterward.

As Estrella works later that day, serving dishes, her hand accidentally brushes against a waiter named Liv’s.

The brief contact causes Liv to gasp, as if struck by a sudden vision.

Estrella feels a strange sensation too, but before she can say anything, Liv runs away, leaving Estrella bewildered.

A boy, around their age, watches Liv go and then chases after her.

Back at college, 'Elena,' Bonnie, and Caroline settle into their routine.

Caroline, on the phone with Estrella, invites her to the Bitter Ball.

"I don’t even go to your college, Care," Estrella responds, laughing.

"No one will notice! Please come," Caroline persists, her plea amusing Bonnie.

At that moment, Bonnie is distracted by a girl nearby performing magic, her curiosity piqued.

Elsewhere, Stefan discovers Aaron’s body and urges Damon to stop his reckless behavior, also warning Enzo to leave Damon alone.

Meanwhile, Wes continues his vampire experiments, creating new and dangerous subjects.

Sloan warns Wes of the growing threat after Aaron's death.

‘Elena’ invites Stefan to a party, and Tyler, growing suspicious of Nadia, tries to warn Matt about her.

In response, Nadia snaps Tyler’s neck.

Damon and Enzo capture Diane, a former Augustine worker, extracting information from her before killing her.
