The Mystic Falls gang had gathered to discuss Cade, but Estrella's mind was elsewhere, only vaguely aware of the conversation happening around her.

She could feel the tension in the room, thick and heavy like the air before a storm.

Every breath seemed to carry an unspoken weight, pressing down on her shoulders as she moved quietly, making sure the twins were properly eating.

The door creaked open, and Anthony strode in, his expression grave as he interrupted the hushed murmurs. His presence instantly commanded attention.

"We need to talk. The plan to disown Joshua as the leader is in motion," Anthony stated, his voice steady but filled with urgency.

Estrella moved toward the living room, the soft padding of her footsteps barely disturbing the thick atmosphere that hung in the house.

Kai leaned back in his chair, narrowing his eyes, a familiar glint of skepticism dancing behind them.

"That's impossible. The leadership can only be transferred if Aiden or Eleanor merge. And I promise you that isn't happening," he said, throwing a pointed look at Estrella, whose shoulders visibly tensed at the mention of the merge.

Anthony's gaze shifted to Estrella, his words calculated yet somehow sympathetic. "I know, but you might recall something, Estrella. When Malachai died, your magic transferred the leadership to former leader. You could do it again."

Everyone's attention snapped to Estrella, shock rippling through the room.

Her chest tightened as if the weight of their stares pressed on her from all sides. Kai's jaw clenched, his usual sarcastic facade beginning to slip.

"Oh, great," Kai snorted, breaking the silence with bitter laughter. "Sure, because the Gemini Coven would definitely let me lead them. They've always loved me." His voice dripped with sarcasm, the bitterness almost evident.

He folded his arms, eyes darkening. "Besides, in case anyone missed it, I'm not fully alive," he added, his tone quieter, almost vulnerable, as he glanced down.

The reminder of his half-existence seemed to hang heavy in the air.

Before anyone could react, a pair of quick footsteps echoed down the hallway.

Now fully fed, Aiden and Eleanor burst into the room, their faces bright with excitement, completely oblivious to the serious conversation.

"Mommy! We know who they are!" Aiden says, his voice filled with childish wonder.

He rushed over to Estrella, clutching the edge of her shirt as Eleanor trailed shyly behind him. "Blexi told us! These are the people you showed us in the pictures, right?"

Eleanor hung back, wide-eyed but silent, observing the room with an almost shy curiosity.

Her fingers twisted the hem of her dress, but she moved closer to Aiden, nodding quietly as if to confirm what her brother had said.

Aiden, with all the confidence only a child could muster, ran straight up to Damon and Stefan, looking up at them with wide, admiring eyes.

"You're Uncle Steffie, right?" he asked, pointing directly at Stefan. "You and Mommy are twins, just like me and Nellie!"

Stefan's lips parted in surprise, his usual composed expression softening as he exchanged a stunned glance with Damon.

Before Stefan could respond, Aiden turned to Damon, flashing him a bright, almost challenging smile. "And you're Uncle Dames. You're the big brother, right, Mommy?"
