It's been 6 months since baby Lizzie was born and you can't believe your little girl is 6 months old already. You've changed more diapers than you can count at this point and so has Mark. He is such a good dad to little Lizzie and seeing him with her makes you fall more in love with him every day. Which you never thought was possible. You've been taking turns with the night shifts with Lizzie so you both can sleep. It's breakfast time and you're currently breastfeeding her while Mark cooks breakfast for you all. You've already changed her diaper before you fed her and you know it's not going to be long after she eats that you'll need to change it again. They don't exaggerate when they say how many diapers you go through by the way. You should own stock in them at this point. Your parents have also been super helpful. They stayed for the first few months until you and Mark got your footing which was nice. You and Mark have been trying to get one date night a week in and Ethan is happy to watch her for you while you're out. You're so lucky to have such an amazing support system. By the time you're done feeding and burping Lizzie breakfast is ready. You move the bassinet next to the dining table and place her in it so you can keep an eye on her while you eat. She's never out of sight of one of you. You both love her so much it's unbelievable. You and Mark talk while you eat keeping an eye on Lizzie while you do. Mark then does the dishes and you check Lizzie's diaper. She's good for now but you know it's going to need to be changed soon knowing her. You then go and change Lizzie out of her pajamas and into her normal clothes. You then change your clothes and brush your teeth and wipe Lizzie's teeth with a washcloth to get the milk off them. Since she's too young to brush them you do this twice a day instead to keep her teeth healthy. She only just got her two bottom teeth so it doesn't take long. You then do some laundry before checking her diaper again. You can smell it before you see it.
"Phew someone's stinky." You say.
Lizzie does a cute giggle.
You chuckle at how adorable she is.
You carry her to the changing table and change her diaper and put diaper rash cream on her so she doesn't get diaper rash. You toss the diaper and wash your hands then put her clothes back on. Mark is recording so you decide to get some cleaning done since the house needs a clean. You set Lizzie up on her bassinet and clean the bathroom then change the sheets and vacuum and dust the house. You then mop the house. You also clean the kitchen counters and the oven. Lastly you pick up any trash or toys lying around as well as stray clothes and fix the pillows on the couch and the blanket draped over it. It looks so much better when you're done. Once you're done you get Lizzie and check her diaper which needs to be changed so you change that quickly then go back into the living room and sit down with her on the couch and start breastfeeding her again. Once she's done eating you burp her then cuddle her for a bit. You then make lunch for you and Mark. You make grilled cheeses since Mark loves those and they're easy. Once lunch is done you plate 2 and put the plate on a tray with a drink for Mark and a few cookies you bought from the store.
You then grab Lizzie and put her on your hip.
"You wanna go give daddy his lunch?" You ask her.
She coos happily.
"Yeah? Let's go." You say.
You carry Lizzie on your hip to Marks recording room and open the door. You then go in.
"Hey babe sorry if I'm interrupting I brought you lunch." You say. Marks eyes light up when he sees you.
"Awww my two favorite girls could never interrupt thank you baby." Mark says.
He gives you a kiss then takes Lizzie and gives her a cuddle and kiss.
"How's daddy's little princess today hmm?" He asks.
Lizzie coos happily and smiles.
"I'm glad daddy can't wait to be done work so he can spend some time with you and your mommy." Mark says.
Your heart bursts at how sweet Mark is with her.
"Daddy loves you so much baby girl but he has to get back to work now but I'll be done soon I promise." He says. Mark gives her one more kiss then hands her back to you.
"I love you baby." He says to you.
"I love you too my love so much." You say.
You head out and leave Mark to finish up. Since all the chores around the house are done you can relax. A couple hours and one diaper change later Mark comes out.
"Wow babe the house looks incredible thank you." He says.
"Yeah I've been really behind on cleaning so it needed to be done." You say.
"Well I appreciate it. I'm going to make dinner since you've done a lot today." He says.
"Thank you." You say.
"Of course." He says.
He makes dinner and you relax and scroll on your phone while snuggling Lizzie until he's done. Once he's done he plates it. You then move the bassinet by the table and take Lizzie and put her in it. You and Mark then sit down and start eating. Once you're done eating Mark does the dishes while you breastfeed Lizzie. You and Mark then watch a movie both taking turns cuddling Lizzie then you change Lizzies diaper again. You watch one more movie before deciding to go to bed. You and Mark get ready for bed then you give Lizzie her nightly bath and put a new diaper and pajamas on her and lay her down in her nursery and turn on the baby monitor. Mark then comes in to say goodnight to her.
"Goodnight baby girl I love you." He says and gives her a kiss on her head.
"Goodnight Lizzie girl I love you." You say and give her a kiss on the forehead too.
You and Mark then head back into your room. You give him a kiss then snuggle into bed with him.
"Goodnight baby I love you so much." Mark says.
"Goodnight my love I love you so much too." You say. You both then soon fall asleep content in each others arms.
