Morning Sickness

*Two months later*

Your POV:

It's been about 2 months since your wedding and you've been feeling off for the past couple weeks. You haven't gotten your period either but you read that that's normal and it can take a while after you stop the birth control pill for your periods to become regular again. Either way you've been really tired and your boobs have been super tender and you've been having the most intense food cravings. You've been craving ice cream way more than usual and this one flavor in particular that you don't normally get. Mark has been such a good husband and has gotten it for you every time no matter what time it is. He even drove 5 miles to find the nearest store that had that particular flavor. You start to feel sick while working on your laptop in the living room and decide to pick up a couple pregnancy tests once you're done working for the day. You finish working and as soon as you get up you have to rush to the bathroom. Your lunch comes up and you puke into the toilet. You groan and kneel in front of the toilet. Mark doesn't hear you since his recording room is soundproof and he can't hear anything outside of it. You clean yourself up and mouthwash to get the taste out of your mouth then grab your purse and throw your phone and keys into it before texting Mark.

Y: Went to the store to get some things I'm not feeling too good. Be back soon 😘❤️

He replies not long after.
M: Awww baby I'm sorry you don't feel good I'm just editing you should have told me I'd have went.
Y: It's ok finish your videos I love you see you soon 😘❤️
M: I love you too 😘❤️

You head out of the house and lock the door behind you before going to your car and getting in.
You then drive to your nearest convenience store.
Once you get there you get out and lock the car. You head inside and grab a hand basket. You buy some ginger ale and peppermints for your nausea then go and grab some pregnancy tests. You grab a pack of 3 clear blue with one digital that says pregnant or not pregnant and 2 regular ones with the plus sign or minus sign. You check out then head back outside and get back in your car. You then drive back home.
Once you get home you get out and lock the car then go inside. When you head inside you smell something delicious and follow it to the kitchen where you see Mark cooking.
"Mmm baby what are you cooking? It smells amazing." You ask.
"It's my moms famous beef and ginger stew I figured it would be perfect since it's light and ginger helps nausea." Mark says.
Your heart warms at his sweetness.
You go up to him and hug him and give him a kiss.
"You're so sweet baby what did I do to deserve you?" You ask.
"I ask myself the same thing every day my love." He says.
You quickly go and hide the pregnancy tests since you're taking them in the morning because that's what the box suggested since that's when the reading is more accurate. You then head back into the kitchen.
"Dinner will be done in about an hour it just needs to simmer now." Mark says.
"Thank you baby I appreciate this." You say giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Of course my love anything for you." He says
Once dinner is ready you join Mark in the dining room and eat. It's delicious and Mark is right it does settle your stomach.
"Thank you baby that was delicious and you were right it did help my nausea." You say.
"I'm glad baby and glad I could help." He says.
Mark washes the dishes then you watch some tv before getting ready for bed.

*The next morning*

You wake up and go into the kitchen and grab a plastic cup before running to the bathroom and quickly grabbing the pregnancy tests from your hiding spot. You pee into the cup and follow the directions on the box. You then turn the tests over so you can't see the window. You don't want to look until the 3 minutes are up. Once the three minutes are up you take a deep breath and flip over the first test. Positive. You put your hand over your mouth in excitement and feel yourself tearing up. You then turn over the other two both are also positive. You sink down onto the bathroom floor and cry happy tears. You can't wait to tell Mark. You quickly hide the tests after taking pictures then quickly run out to the store. Luckily you're off work today since it's the weekend. You run to a clothing store and grab a white newborn onesie and a white shirt as well as a cute baby blanket and baby booties. You check out then go to a craft store where you grab some iron-on transfer paper. You then go to a random store that has everything and grab a momento box. You then head home after buying everything. Once you get home you're careful to quickly hide everything from Mark. You sneak into your office and use your laptop to make designs for the shirt and onesie and print them out. You then grab the designs and get the onesie and shirt and bring them into the laundry room. You follow instructions you saw on google and iron the designs on. When you're done these are the finished products.

You then fold up the baby blanket and put it in the momento box then fold the shirt and onesie so you can see the writing and place the test on the side. You then put the baby booties in. Once everything is exactly the way you want it you set the memory box on the dining room table and wait for Mark to be done recording so you can surprise him with it. You can't wait.
