Two days later, Chase walked up to his sister in the living room.

- "Bree, how long are you gonna keep ignoring me?" He asked.

Bree did not reply.

- "Bree, please." The bionic boy frowned and sat on the couch next to her. "It's been two weeks."

The hybrid sighed and looked into his eyes.

- "I can't." Her voice broke, and she super speeded away.

The Davenport boy sighed.

Maddie walked up to him.

- "You're okay?" She asked.

- "No." Chase looked at her with tears in his eyes. "I miss them."

- "Oh, my love." The quadbrid sat next to him and pulled him into a hug.

The bionic boy cried softly into the crook of her neck.

- "Ssshh, I'm here." The Matthews girl tightened her arms around him as her own eyes watered.

I miss them too. She thought.

The Davenport girl, who was listening behind the wall upstairs, let tears run down her cheeks.

- "You're doing this for him." She whispered to herself. "You cannot talk to him until you fix yourself." She sighed and wiped her tears, walking up to her bedroom.

A couple of hours later, Maddie chuckled as she hung up her video call with Captain Chase.

Mia walked up to her.

- "You're done?" She asked.

- "Yep." The Matthews girl put her phone in the pocket of her shorts. "Just Cap being Cap." She snickered.

- "I don't wanna know what shit he said." The Krillin woman chuckled.

- "You really don't." The quadbrid shook her head.

The Agotarian smiled.

- "Anyway." Maddie turned to her. "What's up?"

- "Nothing." Mia smiled widely.

- "What did Kaz do?" The Matthews girl asked.

- "He's just being adorable." The Krillin woman giggled.

- "I'm happy for you." The quadbrid smiled.

- "Thanks." The Agotarian nodded. "I need to tell you exactly what he did."

- "I'm listening." Maddie replied.

Mia smiled as she started to tell her best friend everything her boyfriend did.

Later, in the afternoon, the two heroines walked with Lena to her old office.

- "I just have to sign some papers, and then we can get back to work." She said.

- "Yeah, no problem." Maddie nodded.

- "But our boss really doesn't like when we're late, so." Kara added.

The Luthor woman narrowed her eyes, playfully, at her.

- "Sorry!" Samantha Arias walked in.

- "Hey." The scientist smiled.
