A few minutes later, the five were in the lab of the D.E.O. with J'onn, Alex and Imra.

- "Well, that was a very sick creature." The older Danvers woman said.

- "And what's odd is that I can't find a virus or infection of any kind." Chase added.

- "Well, something must have done that." Valor said.

- "The Blight." The Ardeen woman replied.

- "We went through this on Winath." Tim explained. "The Blight is preceded by mass wildlife death and plant life, crops rotting in the Earth."

- "Soon it will manifest in people." The Titan added.

- "It's a short incubation period. It's 100% fatal and extremely contagious." The Davenport man from the future continued.

Well, that's gonna be fun. GreatGirl sighed.

Yeah. The Davenport boy nodded.

- "Based on our tests." He looked at the right hand. "Whatever this bird had, it wasn't transmittable. Not even from bird to bird. So, it had to have come in contact with Pestilence herself."

- "It might not be contagious yet, but if Pestilence gets stronger, even half the strength of the Blight, the entire city would fall ill in a matter of days." Imra replied.

- "But we won't let her get stronger." The Matthews girl shook her head.

- "Now remember, the cure is written in our DNA." The hybrid said.

- "With Brainy's help, we'll be able to extract it, weaponize it, and use it to kill Pestilence before she ever becomes the Blight." The Ardeen woman turned around to walk away.

- "Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa." Supergirl stopped her. "We're not killing anyone. We got too aggressive with Purity, and that's when things got worse. We're not making the same mistake twice."

- "She's right." The quadbrid nodded. "There is a human side to Pestilence. We're gonna find her, and we're going to save her."

- "We came here to end the threat to our time. And that means ending her life in this time." The Titan replied, firmly.

- "It's just not how we operate." The younger Danvers woman shook her head.

The geniuses looked at each other, knowing that when needed they both had to kill people.

- "That's not how I usually operate, but these are extreme circumstances." Imra said. "You and Chase already killed before."

- "Okay, Imra." GreatGirl sighed. "I know that you want to end this and save your people, but this is not the solution." She shook her head. "Chase and I killed in the past, but it was when it was necessary and that we had no other choice."

- "Yeah, you're talking about killing the human side of Pestilence without thinking twice." The bionic boy frowned, walking up next to the heroines. "Every Worldkiller deserves a chance to be saved, even if you don't want to. But this is our time, you don't have your word to say on how we operate." He said, firmly, crossing his arms. "You are a stranger to this time, a visitor. This is our job to stop Pestilence, and we're gonna do it how we see fit."
