Tuesday went by the same as every other day. The only thing that happened to you out of the ordinary was during art club. Before you could leave Ari asked you if she could talk to you for a bit. You agreed even though you didn't exactly want to. There was nothing wrong with the girl, she was nice enough but you knew she was likely wanting to talk about Kuroo which you didn't know what to say.

"That was strange. She seems to talk to you a lot lately. Think it's about the art gallery?" Kayo questioned.

"Maybe." you replied. You didn't though.

When you were done what you had been doing Kayo left ahead and you stayed behind as Ari said goodbye to her friends. She smiled when she saw you waiting for her and quickly packed up her things to start walking through the hall. You walked alongside her.

"Thanks for waiting for me y/n." she said as you both walked.

"No problem." you answered in a quick cheerful tone. You knew she never actually did anything to you but you would have definitely rather go straight home than stick around school hanging out with her.

"I wanted to ask you about Kuroo." she started. You nodded to her statement. You knew it. "As you know I've got a bit of a crush on him. I've been trying to send him signs for a while now but he is so oblivious to it. I should just ask him out but I'm really nervous about it. Do you mind casually asking him if he would even date someone for me? Then I can mentally prepare to ask him out." she asked.

You've already done that. You could always just tell her you'll ask him then deal with telling her later in the week. But then again did you really want to push your problems aside. You were much better off just getting it over with right now.

"So Ari.." you began, trying to figure out the best way to break the news to the girl. Kuroo was not looking for any relationship but instead wanted to just focus on school.

"You already talked to him." she said as her face dropped. It wasn't a question but instead a statement.

"I'm sorry Ari." you quickly apologized.

You understood exactly what it felt like to want a guy who didn't want a relationship. You knew exactly what it had felt like to fall for Tetsuro Kuroo.

"It's alright. I kinda had a feeling it wasn't gonna work out." she said with an awkward laugh. She was trying to laugh it out to hide the pain of the news you had given her.

You wanted to go home. You really just wanted to go to your room and attempt to figure out your physics work. But you didn't. She needed someone who understood what she was going through right now. In your head you sighed but not out loud for the girl to hear.

"How about we stop by the ice cream place. My treat." you said. You weren't taking her for the ice cream. Ice cream couldn't magically solve problems or make a person feel better. But being around others instead of overanalyzing every little thing alone did help.

"Sure. I'd like that." Ari agreed, giving you a quick friendly smile.

You smiled and motioned for her to walk with you. The two of you made it over to the ice cream shop and both got a cone.

"Sorry I probably seem like I'm being a little overdramatic about it. I mean it's not like we were actually dating or anything like that." Ari said, seeming a little embarrassed about being this upset over the news.

"Honestly Ari you don't have to explain to me. I get it. It really sucks because you get it in your head that he might like you back and then you start making up all these scenario's in your head about him." you replied.
