Kayo knew. You didn't know how she found out but there was no doubt that she knew about you and Yaku. You couldn't get a good idea of what she was thinking just by the text alone but that only allowed your mind to settle on worst case scenario's. The only bright side to this was that you and Yaku had been planning to tell her tomorrow anyway, plus now there wouldn't be any need to hide anything anymore. You had never really been all that worried about Kenma or Kuroo finding out, it was just Kayo.

"We need to deal with this tonight." you said, already standing up. There was no way you could sit there for any longer watching the sky, you were anything but relaxed.

"I agree." Yaku said. He sounded even more nervous about it than you. Although even as you thought about the situation you weren't sure who had overstepped more - you as her best friend or him as her brother.

You both answered Kayo. You sent her a message to say that you were going to come over and you weren't sure what Yaku replied to her but you knew he wasn't lying to her.

The drive back to Yaku's place was different than all the other drives you had with this boy. You were both quiet as you both stressed over what Kayo might say. Even Yaku who was always great at finding conversation when you were nervous didn't have a word to say. Of course he was terrified too, it was his sister after all.

Even though neither of you were in the mood to say a word Yaku still had a gentle hold of your hand, gently running his thumb over it, it was almost enough to calm your nerves. As he pulled onto the street where his house was he gave your hand a light squeeze.

"Everything is going to work out for us." Yaku whispered before finally letting go of your hand. You already missed the feeling of his touch but you were about to arrive at his house.

"Promise?" you asked quietly. The two of you hadn't been together for long but you couldn't stand the thought of losing this boy.

Yaku held up his hand and you could immediately see the way his fingers were crossed. You gave a small smile in response to that little action. How could things not work out? You both deserved what the two of you had found.

As Yaku pulled the car into his driveway you immediately noticed Kayo sitting on the front step waiting for the two of you. As the two of you got out of the car she stood and walked onto the driveway to meet with the two of you. Even in the poor street lighting you could still see the way her cheeks were glistening from being stained by previous tears.

This was it. Everything was going to be out there and there was no undoing it anymore. Kayo would know everything.

"Y/n, you look so beautiful in that outfit. I hope the interview went well." Kayo said as you stopped in front of her. You could immediately pick up in the slight shake in her voice.

She sounded as nervous as you felt. It hadn't occurred to you that if she did know about you and Yaku then it would be just as scary for her to confront you as it was for you to be confronted. This wasn't going to be an easy conversation for any of you.

"Thank you it did." you replied, your voice sounded like it belonged to someone else. "You wanted to talk to me." you pointed out, terrified to let the conversation die and dive into the most awkward silence of your life.

Kayo slowly nodded, glancing over to her brother for the briefest second.

"Should I - " Yaku tried to ask if he should be leaving or stay.

"Stay." Kayo said. Yaku nodded in understanding, not moving a step.

You watched as your best friend looked between you and her brother, a new batch of tears forming in her eyes.
