When you arrived home Isamu was still up. He was watching something on the tv but when he heard you enter the house he paused it and called out to you.

"How did your game go? Ari never texted me any updates." you asked. You had been expecting at least one or two messages from the girl, but to be honest you were quite busy and probably would have ended up missing them anyway.

"She told me she didn't. She said she really didn't want to distract you from your day and she thought I might want to tell you the details myself." Isamu explained.

"That's fair. So how was it?" you asked again, hopping onto the couch beside your brother.

"We didn't win. It wasn't a bad game though, we gave it our all but they were just better than us. I really wanna go to Nationals so I'm gonna practice extra for the next one. I've only got one more tournament before I graduate." Isamu replied.

It was crazy to hear him talking about graduating because in your mind the two of you were still kids not a step away from being an adult. Then an even scarier thought occurred to you. What were you going to do when your brother moved away for college leaving you in this house alone with your parents?

That was still a little bit away so you attempted to push it off your mind for now. At least you and Isamu were close again so you could just focus on enjoying your last year living with him.

"I'll come to the next tournament for sure." you said.

Isamu smiled at you. "I'd like that. I'll come to your next big art event when that happens."

You smiled at the fact that he said when 'when that happens' instead of 'if that happens'. You knew your parents didn't support your art at all but now you had a family member cheering you on.

"Sounds like a plan." you said.

"So how did the college art gallery go today?" Isamu asked. You were surprised he even knew what it was that you had done today, not even your parents cared to know what exactly you were attending even though you had told them multiple times.

"It went really really well!" you said excitedly.

"Sorry mom and dad came to my game. I feel terrible that they didn't go to your event." Isamu apologized.

"Don't feel bad. It wasn't your fault and I actually had a really great time without them there. Yaku came by and he spent the day with me." you said.

"Yaku? Like Kayo's brother Yaku?" Isamu asked in surprise.

Isamu and Yaku both knew each other somewhat since they had been in each others class for all of highschool. It still seemed weird to think about how your brother and some of your friends shared a class. It was strange to think that Kuroo and Yaku were both a year older.

"Yeah, Kayo asked him if he would go since I had no one else going with me. I had no idea that he would be there until he showed up there." you explained.

Isamu was giving you a strange look and you had no idea why or what that look even meant.

"What?" you finally asked.

"It's just that's a far way to go just to do a favour for your sister. Not a lot of guys are going to drop everything they are doing for an entire day like that just because their sister asked." he stated.

You weren't sure what he was hinting at with that statement.

"So? You wouldn't do that for me?" you questioned, trying to prove a point.

"Sure for you. But he didn't do it for Kayo, he did it for you. You can't convince me that he took his whole day off and drove to a different part of the city just because Kayo asked him to go in her place." Isamu said.
