During school the next day you got called into the principals office. You weren't sure what to expect but once you were there you were met with a man you recognized. You had met him at your art gallery event, he had shown interest in taking you in for a co-op position during the next term. With all the excitement happening in your life recently you had completely forgotten about this opportunity.

You arranged with him to have an interview for the position next Wednesday and your principal was more than happy about this since it would reflect really well on the school. The only unfortunate thing was that the interview would take place in a small town just outside of Tokyo meaning you would likely have to bother your parents for a drive there.

But other than that you were really excited about this whole thing. This was not only something you were going to enjoy a lot but it was another thing to set you apart from all the other things on your college applications.

After school you had art club with Kayo and the boys had volleyball practice so it actually worked out really well because you would be finishing around the same time and could still commute home together. Kayo couldn't stick around for art club because she had a dentist appointment right when school ended so that sucked, but you figured you would just put on some music and work on your project.

Kayo ran off as soon as the bell rang leaving you on your own. As you were at your locker to put away the things you didn't need to bring home with you, you could hear someone approach and stop beside your locker. You glanced over and smiled when you noticed it was Yaku.

"What are you doing here?" you asked with a little smile that you couldn't stop from appearing even if you had wanted to.

"Figured I'd walk you to art club. Kayo mentioned that she was missing it today." he replied.

"Oh walking me to my club, a little risky don't you think?" you teased jokingly.

Yaku just laughed off your comment. Ever since the two of you started dating in secret it felt almost illegal to be seen in public with him, even just at school. It felt as if the smallest most normal interaction with him could get the two of you caught and everyone would discover what was only yours and his secret.

Even though you had only made the comment as a joke you still couldn't help but glance around to make sure no one you were close with saw the two of you. Part of you hated hiding your relationship but part of you also loved sneaking around with him. The best word you could use to describe the whole thing was complicated.

"Guess what?!" you exclaimed excitedly as you allowed that guilty feeling at the thought of Kayo catching the two of you fade away. You instead let the excitement of your interview news overtake that guilt. Ever since you were told about it, all you could think about was telling him. He was the one there during your initial interaction with the man and he had been beyond excited then.

"What?" Yaku asked eagerly.

"I got an interview for that co-op position! It's next Wednesday after school but I'm pretty sure it's more of a formality thing, it sounded like he was pretty set on taking me already!" you beamed.

Yaku immediately grinned. "I'm not surprised." he said as he quickly pulled you into a tight side hug.

You felt this fluttery butterfly feeling in the pit of your stomach when he pulled you so close. But then you both remembered where you were and immediately looked around to make sure no one was paying any attention to the two of you. Thankfully you seemed to be in the clear.

"The only unfortunate thing is that it's in a small town outside of Tokyo. Meaning I'm either gonna have to beg my parents for a ride or take the train over." you said.
