In the morning your parents were already gone to work by the time you got up so you didn't have to worry about talking to them after the interaction you had with them the night before. Isamu was still eating breakfast so you sat with him and the two of you chatted while eating. Once you were finished you parted ways since you were traveling to school with Kuroo and Kenma.
The trip to school was nice, it was nice to talk with Kuroo and Kenma. You don't know why but it felt like forever since the three of you had gotten a chance to just hang out. You all decided that if they were back from Miyagi early enough on Sunday you would all meet up at Kuroo's house for a bit.
You met up with Kayo almost right away in the morning. You weren't sure why but you felt a little guilty when you saw her. You felt like you had gone behind her back in a way by texting her brother so often. Was it really a big deal for you to be close friends with Yaku though? You were sure that Kayo wouldn't really mind.
Throughout the whole day each time your best friend talked to you all you could think about was if you had betrayed her. It didn't make sense why it was bothering you so much. All you were doing was texting the boy, it wasn't like anything serious had happened. Besides you were sure that the girl would be more than happy to hear that you and Yaku had become such good friends.
You tried your best to shake the odd feeling you had started to get and by the end of the day you actually managed to. But now all you could think about was how sour tomorrow had turned. You had been so excited and in a single night your parents managed to take that excitement away from you.
"Y/n." Kayo said, shaking your arm a little.
"Huh?" you replied when you noticed the questioning look she was giving you.
"I was trying to get your attention for a solid minute." she answered with a laugh.
"Oh my bad." you responded. You hadn't even realized you had completely checked out of reality thinking about how angry you were with your parents.
"All good girl. I was just asking if you wanted to come over and hang out for a bit after art club." Kayo replied.
"Sure that sounds nice." you agreed with a smile.
Just like Kuroo and Kenma, you and Kayo were in desperate need of a hang out that didn't take place at school. Plus you could really use your best friend to rant to right about now. You were completely pissed off with your parents behaviour last night and you would love nothing more than to openly complain about them.
Art club didn't take all that long. It was mostly a little drop in but you didn't get too much done. Before leaving most of the club students wished you luck at the gallery set for tomorrow. It felt unreal that the art gallery was actually about to happen.
Kayo drove the two of you back to her house. There was no volleyball club today so Yaku had likely just taken the bus home instead of taking the car or waiting around for Kayo's club to end.
When you entered her house you found the boy sitting at the center island working on some school work. He was often there when you came over and you wondered if he always got his school stuff done when he got home. You wished you were like that, you often left it till the last minute and ended up staying up later than you wanted to just to finish your homework that you put off.
"So what do you want to tell me?" Kayo questioned as the two of you started grabbing a few snacks to take into the other room.
"Oh my God you are not going to believe what my parents said last night." you started as you took a seat with her on the couch. It was funny to you how you had this own way of speaking to Kayo different than anyone else. She was one hundred percent your girl.
