After binging your show into the late hours of the night the three of you decided to call it a night. You grabbed your bag from the front hall where you had abandoned it and followed Kayo up to her room. When you placed it on the bed though you couldn't help but notice that the front pocket of the bag was slightly open, not how you had left it.
You pulled the zipper open to reveal a neatly folded skirt at the very top of the bag. You had the biggest smile as you pulled it out to examine the assortment of spring flowers all over it. You recognized this skirt immediately and you knew exactly how it had ended up in your bag. It was the one that you had loved in that little boutique you and Yaku had ended up in when you were hiding from Kayo and Akaashi.
"Oh my God that is gorgeous! Where did you get it?" Kayo asked when she noticed the skirt you were holding up.
"It's from that new dress shop that just opened up on Maple Street." you answered, still looking over all the little details in the piece of clothing.
"I've seen that shop! I haven't gone in it yet but I walked past it with Keiji the other day. The dresses in there all look so stylish. We have to go back together at some point girl. By the way I am so borrowing that sometime." she said.
"Alright." you agreed with a little laugh as you carefully folded the skirt back up and placed it in your bag again.
"I really need to take a quick shower, do you mind just hanging out here for a couple minutes? I'll be fast." Kayo asked.
"Yeah of course." you nodded.
She then disappeared into the washroom, you took a minute to put your pajama's on. Then when you heard the shower start to run you took the opportunity to sneak downstairs.
As you expected Yaku was still in the kitchen. He was scooping out some canned cat food into two dishes and both the cats were patiently sitting by his feet waiting for him to put their food on the ground.
"You know you really don't have to spoil me like that." you stated as you entered the kitchen.
Yaku glanced over at you, his cheeks tinting ever so slightly pink when he noticed the oversized tee paired with sleep shorts you were wearing. But he quickly turned his attention back to what he was doing.
"The skirt? I wanted to get it for you. You really seemed to love it, plus I knew you would look really good in it. It's your style." he said, shrugging it off as he placed the two cat bowls on the ground for the cats to enjoy.
"But I wasn't expecting you to spend that kind of money on me. I mean you don't have to, I'm happy without it." you said.
"Y/n." Yaku said, catching your eyes. "I'm happy to do stuff like that. I mean I want to. Besides it wasn't an insane price. Plus I won that extra cash at poker the other night."
"You won like fifteen bucks Morisuke." you pointed out with a little laugh.
"Still fifteen bucks I get to spend on my girl." he replied with a shrug.
You smiled a little closed mouth smile, unable to contain it.
"Stop being so good at this." was all you could say.
"Y/n, you're way better at this whole dating thing than you think you are." Yaku pointed out.
His words gave you enough confidence to step in closer to him and place both hands on his cheeks to pull him in for a quick kiss. When you pulled away from the kiss Yaku wasted no time in giving you a little lift up onto the countertop with ease. You raised both eyebrows at him in amusement, he had definitely caught you off guard with that.
