A whole week somehow managed to pass. You spent majority of your time with Yaku in the past week, still saving time for your friends. Kayo seemed to be a lot more open minded now about the idea of you dating her brother. More than just coming around to the idea she actually seemed quite excited claiming how this only made the two of you that much closer.

She had even joked about how you were never going to get a crappy gift for the rest of your life because she would make sure to give him advice, this made you laugh but you believed her. Kayo was an excellent gift giver and had amazing taste in style. Not that you had ever really worried about Yaku in that sense, he wasn't the type to give you the bare minimum.

On Wednesday your mom and Ari joined you in doing some pottery. You would be lying if you tried to pretend it wasn't the most awkward moment of your week. Ari was trying hard to make conversation with your mother but even she struggled with that task, and you and your mother knew hardly anything about each other so it felt more like being paired with some random classmate for a school project than going out with your mother.

Things weren't perfect, and you figured things would never be perfect between you and your mother. It was too late to pretend that the two of you could completely mend your relationship but you had already accepted that long ago. The important thing right now was that she was showing up when she said she would. Even though the two of you would never have a normal mother-daughter relationship, maybe one day you could be around her without the sinking feeling that something bad was going to happen.

Your parents were slowly coming around to the idea of Isamu moving away for college and you were doing everything to support him while they were still processing the whole thing. You could tell how much your brother really appreciated everything you were doing for him. It was crazy to think that only a month ago you hated everything about him but now he was such an important part of your life and you really loved him.

Kuroo and Kenma were the same as always. You had been so afraid of things changing between the three of you as you grew older but after so much time and even as you all had moved from elementary school to middle school to highschool and now almost college for Kuroo, nothing really changed about the three of you.

You were the first one of your little neighbourhood group to enter a serious relationship and even after that you guys were all still the same and still had just as much time for each other. It had been one of your biggest fears that the three of you would slowly grow apart but now that you really thought about it, that was never going to happen.

You leaned over and knocked on the door as you arrived on the front step. It was a Saturday afternoon and you couldn't think of anything you would rather be doing than spending your time at this house right now.

A couple seconds later the door opened and a tall boy with messy hair stood there grinning. You smiled at him as he opened the door wider for you to enter his house. For most of your life this house felt more like home than your own house.

You walked in and almost immediately caught sight of Kenma sitting on one of the kitchen chairs with a game in hand. At the kitchen stove stood Kuroo's dad working on some sort of lunch.

"So what's the project today?" you asked Kuroo as you grabbed the ball cap that belonged to you but never left this house.

"Bookshelf." Kuroo replied.

You gave him a raised eyebrow with an amused look. That was something the two of you had never done before.

Kuroo's dad didn't take long to finish up with lunch so the group of you ate. He was an amazing cook, his son was too. You loved eating at their house. You and Kuroo did the dishes and Kenma cleared off the table while Kuroo's dad went to the backyard to sort out any materials you might need for your new project.
