Last night, I decided I was going to leave Totosai's cave and try to find someone to help train my spiritual and demonic powers. I knew it wouldn't be easy, especially with all the demons about but I have to try. This morning I spoke with him about it. "Master Totosai?" I asked. He looked up from the weapon he was working on and waited for me to continue. "I was thinking about leaving the cave to train with my powers." I finished and he replied, "Myoga and I have been talking about that, as well. You are still very weak but must leave here to gain the strength you need. Before you leave, we wanted to give you this." He handed me an old and worn priestesses bow along with a quiver of arrows. I was confused until I saw small claw marks on the bow. "How?" I asked, tears starting to fall. "We picked it when we brought you here." Myoga answered from Totosai's shoulder. More tears began to fall as I rubbed the claw marks with my thumb. "Thank you." I said smiling, tears shining. I got up from my place on the ground and hugged both demons the best I could, before whispering a good-bye and heading out of the cave.

It has been about four days since I left Master Totosai's, but only two days since I was chased out of a human village at sword point. You'd think I'd be used to the way humans are around people like me, but I'm not. It's still awful to feel like you don't belong anywhere. I guess it comes with the territory of being a half-demon. The only good news is there haven't been any demons, yet. Why did I jinx it!? I took aim with my bow and let the arrow fly, lucky for me it was a weak demon. Looks like I have a long way to go before I'll find someone who will help me with my powers. I just hope I'm not dead by then.
