Walking was not as fun as I thought it would be and running wasn't a good idea just yet. I just wasn't going to stay around there, because I could tell something was going to happen. Naraku was about to make a move towards getting more Jewel Shards with or without me, so I had to act fast if I was going to stop him before that happened. That's why I'm heading towards Naraku's castle as quickly as I can because his barrier has weakened; so that means he is weakened too. The faster I get there the faster I can end this, once and for all. I can destroy him and take his Jewel Shards all in one go. That was my plan anyway, all of that changed when InuYasha's scent came into my senses. When I caught up with him, he was arguing with his friends. "Stubborn as ever, I see," I stated. "What are you doing here?" InuYasha questioned. "Following Naraku's scent, same as you," I replied, "You know, I could help you track Naraku down. Two noses are better than one." "What are you implying?" InuYasha asked, angrily. "You know," I replied. InuYasha didn't say anything, so I added, "or you can listen to your friends and stay out of sight, just until morning." Everyone stared at me with confusion for a moment, before Kagome spoke. "Kaya, you know?" "Obviously, the first time I met InuYasha he was a human," I explained. Kagome nodded and Sango spoke, "We should get moving and find somewhere to take shelter for the night," With that, we continued on.
Night had fallen not long ago. I had elected to sit outside the abandoned hut we had found. InuYasha and Kagome were sitting not very far away in front of a small fire. The only problem with having the hearing of a dog demon, you hear everything, so I had to keep myself from laughing as Kagome and InuYasha argued about the wolf demon, whose name I learned was Koga. As I listened, I started to hear footsteps approaching, then voices to match the footsteps. I stood up and walked over to Kagome and InuYasha, finally catching the scent of wolf demons. Kagome and InuYasha stood up after they recognized the voices, she sent InuYasha to the small hut and told the others. I stayed put by the fire they had built earlier. Miroku and Kagome joined me by the fire, shortly before the wolves arrived. They explained Koga was fighting Kagura but was having a lot of trouble. After their explanation, I heard the doors of the hut forcefully open behind me. Nothing was going to stop InuYasha at this point, human or not. We all followed the wolves, with Sango leading on Kirara. She took off to go help when we got close, leaving the rest of us behind. By the time we reached Koga and Sango, Kagura was gone. Kagome rushed to Koga's side with her first aid kit in hand. InuYasha walked up to where Kagome and Koga were; I've figured out he won't admit to being jealous, even as a human. Whatever was said caused an argument between Koga and InuYasha, causing InuYasha to draw his sword and almost as quickly put it away. Roughly an hour later, Kagome had finished patching Koga's wounds, so we started moving in the direction of Naraku's scent. They were talking about strategies on how and why InuYasha needed to stay out of sight. I'm starting to see a pattern with stubbornness. After a while, Koga jumped off Kirara and started running. Sango had Kirara drop InuYasha and Shippo off so she could go after Koga. I missed what happened after, but we stopped for a moment because apparently, Miroku knocked InuYasha out cold.
It was quite a while before we made it to Koga and Sango. Koga was getting beat up pretty badly by Kagura. I had only seen her Dance of the Dragon a couple of times, but this one was different, it had a lot of anger and hatred behind it. As I watched, InuYasha and Miroku leaped into the fight in the nick of time. The only problem was InuYasha hadn't transformed back yet, so I hope Kagura doesn't say anything to Naraku. Once InuYasha transformed back, he drew Tetsusaiga, breaking Kagura's Dance of the Dragon and causing her to flee. After Kagura flees, Koga immediately goes looking for his Shards of the Sacred Jewel, before telling Kagome good-bye and taking off in a whirlwind. I figured that was my cue to leave, as well; that is until Kagome stopped me. "Kaya, are you leaving too?" "Yeah, but first here," I said while fishing out a small bottle containing five Jewel Shards out of my pocket. "You've had these the whole time?" InuYasha questioned, angrily. "Kagome, you couldn't sense them, could you?" I asked. She shook her head. "I'll see you guys later. Good luck." I said before taking off at a dead sprint hoping to leave InuYasha and his friends behind me.
