Game over. That's what I was thinking when I woke up in this horrid place. "So, you're awake," Naraku stated. My mind was still pretty hazy after hitting it so much. I did realize, though, that I was no longer in chains like before instead my hands were bound with rope. This was where the trap was set. InuYasha and his friends were going to be lured here. I stood up and tried to run, but Naraku put up a barrier and brought me back to him. He still thinks I'm useful, whether I want to be or not. He let the barrier down just in time for me to catch the scents of InuYasha's group. Naraku smirked just as a wind scar almost tore me to shreds. "Welcome, InuYasha, you've finally come."

When Naraku said that, I tried to join the others, but he caught me in another barrier. Naraku revealed his part of the Sacred Jewel and it took everything I had not to turn full demon. When InuYasha released another wind scar not only did Naraku put up a barrier around himself but he used me as a shield, just in case. I hadn't quite noticed the demon had changed until the barrier began smoking occasionally and I realized we were in the belly of some great beast. Soon everyone was attacking, and Naraku was blocking the attacks in whatever way he could including using saimyosho against Miroku and his wind tunnel. During all of this, I was slowly but surely trying to get free without Naraku or anyone else noticing. I should've been paying more attention because suddenly the barrier was gone and Naraku had been torn apart by adamant spears. I looked around stunned that I was now on the ground and noticed the adamant spears were stuck in the walls of the beast's belly with nothing indicating any of them had gone through. Kagome shot an arrow just before Naraku and I disappeared.

Just as quickly as we had disappeared, we reappeared inside a barrier kept up by Hakudoshi outside the beast. That was when I finally knew where we had been. We had been in the belly of a giant ogre demon the size of a small mountain. There was no way InuYasha and his friends were going to get out of this, no matter how hard they tried. I started moving faster, trying to get free while Naraku and Hakudoshi were talking with Kagura. When I finally had gotten my hands in front of me, I felt something strange. It was almost like I could sense InuYasha's demonic aura from outside the monster, which should have been impossible. Something was definitely happening in there and it wasn't the death of my friends. Naraku mentioned that InuYasha was using Kagome's Shard and I knew what had happened. InuYasha was trying one final trick to get out, something I knew would work; if he could control the power the Shard gave him. If not, he and everyone else inside that demon would die but not necessarily by the ogre digesting them. The more Naraku continued, the more it was starting to piss me off. Half-demon or not, InuYasha was stronger than Naraku gave him credit for and I had faith InuYasha would pull through. As if on cue, InuYasha's demonic aura got stronger and I knew he had become corrupted by the Sacred Jewel Shard. Even from here, I could feel the Shard's aura and it was as dark as the one in Naraku's possession. Almost as quickly as his aura had gotten stronger, it went back to normal and the aura of the Jewel Shard became very pure. Kagome had purified the Shard; I was sure of that. Suddenly the beast's belly began to glow causing Naraku and Kagura to move out of range. Seconds later, the strongest adamant barrage InuYasha had produced blasted through the beast's belly, causing the ogre demon to turn to stone and collapse. I audibly cheered just before Naraku and Kagura retreated. InuYasha and his group had won this round, but I worried about how they came out of this one. With Miroku wounded and considering how much blood was mixed in with Kagome's scent, I wasn't sure what this victory had cost them. I just hope they all come out of this okay.
