I woke with a start and noticed everyone staring at me. "Can someone explain what the hell just happened?" "Like you don't already know," InuYasha replied. "No, I don't. Why do you think I asked?" I rebutted. "She appears to be telling the truth, InuYasha," Miroku informed him. "Well, duh," I sassed. I went to cross my arms but realized I couldn't. "Was this really necessary?" "Precautionary, not that those would hold you if turn full demon again," InuYasha stated. "I turned full demon? When?" I questioned. InuYasha's face went from anger to disbelief. "Okay, now I'm confused. Can someone please explain what ---" I didn't finish because I looked down and noticed a set of familiar purple beads. "You know these beads won't stay on me, right?" Everyone looked at me in disbelief. "What do ye mean, Kaya?" Kaede questioned. "I made a set of these, too, so once my hands are unbound I'm taking them off," I informed the group. "Anyway, what did you mean I went full demon? I'm still wearing my necklace so it's not possible." "I caught your scent and came looking for you because it was mixed with the scent of poison. When I found you, you fell to the ground unconscious, so I picked you up to carry you back here. About halfway, you woke up and attacked me. You gained demonic markings and your eyes were no longer they're normal color. We subdued you using the beads, thanks to Kagome," InuYasha explained. "I didn't hurt Kagome, did I?" InuYasha shook his head and that's when I noticed his arm. There was blood in the same place as in my dream. "I'm sorry, InuYasha," I told him and looked down. "It's not that bad, you're not as strong as you think you are," InuYasha stated, bluntly. "Is someone going to untie me or do I have to do that myself?" I questioned the group. InuYasha walked over, untied me, and sat down next to me. "You're going to babysit me now, aren't you?" He just looked at me without saying a word. I lifted my hands to the Beads of Subjugation and began to take them off, but they wouldn't come off. "Damn it," I muttered to myself. Soon after that, everyone went to sleep, all but InuYasha and I of course. "You should get some sleep, too, InuYasha," I whispered. "Not on your life," he argued. This was going to be excruciating.

The next afternoon, InuYasha decided to go get Kagome but insisted I come with him. He was babysitting me, I guess that was understandable though. InuYasha's the only one who can stop me if I go full demon. When we reached the modern era, I turned myself human and he gave me a weird look. "What are doing that for?" "I used to live here, too, remember. Everyone here thinks I'm a human, so that's how I'm going to look." I explained in an annoyed tone. We jumped out of the well and walked to Kagome's house. When we got to Kagome's front door, I turned to InuYasha. "Hey, InuYasha, I think there's a demonic aura somewhere around here." "It could just be things they store in the shrine." He stated. I nodded and we walked inside. We walked to the kitchen and realized I was right. InuYasha jumped into action and I sighed with relief. Kagome's grandfather was very confused as to what had just occurred. InuYasha questioned him about the dried foods Kagome had brought back and when Kagome's grandfather confirmed there weren't anymore InuYasha calmed down and came to stand next to me once again. I heard their front door open and smiled when I saw who walked through, Kagome's mother and little brother, Sota, greeted us. InuYasha informed them that we were leaving after Kagome got back, but Kagome's mom convinced InuYasha otherwise. You can get InuYasha to do just about anything for food, that much I learned on my own. After a moment, InuYasha and I joined Sota in the living to wait for Kagome to get home. I started braiding and unbraiding my hair as something to do, but it annoyed InuYasha so I had to stop. That's when I noticed Sota had a couple of blank papers next to him and I asked if I could have one. He handed me one and a colored pencil, I thanked him and began drawing. InuYasha was looking over my shoulder watching me draw. After a while, Kagome returned and InuYasha told her they were leaving after dinner. That's when Kagome started talking about the cultural festival at school. It sounded wonderful, but if InuYasha wasn't going, neither was I.

The next morning, Kagome left early for school. InuYasha had moved to the roof because he was sulking. "You can't stay up there forever," I told him. "Lay off." I jumped up on the roof with him, "I thought you weren't going to let me out of your sight," I teased. He growled and turned away from me. Not long after that, Kagome's mother came out and invited us to go with them. Soon after that, we left to head to Kagome's school. When we found Kagome, a mushroom demon was about to eat her. InuYasha once again jumped into action and destroyed the demon. They argued for a minute before we went to go get food. The entire time we ate, InuYasha explained about the dried foods turning back into demons. When Kagome informed him there were more demons, he got excited and took off the hat he had been wearing. InuYasha and I told Kagome we would take care of the demons, but then her family volunteered, as well. That's when we noticed Ayumi start to walk our way, causing Kagome to panic and tackle InuYasha. I facepalmed and stared at the two until Ayumi walked up. She had come to get Kagome for the choir performance. I could see the udder panic and fear on Kagome's face when Ayumi looked at InuYasha. Ayumi didn't say anything, instead, she just grabbed Kagome's hand and dragged her away. We stood there dumbfounded until I looked around, there were people dressed as demons everywhere. InuYasha's ears fit right in, so there was nothing to worry about, for now.
